The School Facilities and Organization department at OSPI is offering twostatewide, all-day training opportunities on two major topics listed below.
- School Construction Assistance Program overview.It includes:
- D-Forms and funding assistance grants.

- High-Performance Schools (WSSP, LEED).
- Asset Preservation Program (APP).
- Claims and Close-out.
- Use of Inventory and Condition of Schools (ICOS) for building inventory and condition reporting.
- Pre-Disaster Mitigation.
- District-level Building Condition Assessment training.It includes:
- Overview of building component systems.
- Process of rating.
- Application for APP and state assistance.
- Differences of BCA certification training.
The trainingis designed for school district personnel including superintendents, business managers, facility managers, and planners.It will give a basic understanding ofthe majorcapital funding assistance program and itsrequirements. This training coursewill provide an opportunity for district staff to learn about construction planning, financing, design, and management, as well as a basic understanding of state assistance. It may also serve as a refresher course.
Dates, Locations, and Details
The training is free. Travel arrangements, meals, and expenses are the participant’s responsibility.Coffee service and light refreshments will be provided in the morning at each meeting. Other details include:

Depending on the level of interest, the number of participants from a single district may be limited.If a standby list is necessary, please prioritize your potential attendees in the order of who will most benefit.Private industry consultants will initially be placed on the standby list.
