Introduction to Account Connect
Account Connect (AC) is the new web site created for dealers to interact electronically with ZDU.
In 2007, dealers will access the new F&I web enabled rating system (rate track) through AC.
Account Connect is located at www.uug.com.
AC homepage
A dealership’s AC homepage currently has a “home”, an “F&I” tab and a “reports” tab.
A dealership’s AC home tab currently contains (four) portlets, summarized below:
· A portlet listing of the various dealership locations. Those persons with access to information from more than one location cab select the desired location by clicking the checkbox to the left of the name.
· A portlet listing of the dealer’s account service team, both in the regional office and the home office. email messages may be sent directly from the portlet by selecting the appropriate checkbox, or clicking the “email all team members on the list” button.
· A portlet for useful links/customer service. This area contains links to related websites that may be of interest, including a link to “roads to rewards” information.
· A portlet for customer support information including contact information for website technical support and product support.
The dealership’s “F&I” tab currently contains three portlets:
· A portlet listing the various locations of the dealership. (See above.)
· A message board portlet
· The F&I Power Tools portlet.

The dealership’s “reports” tab currently contains three portlets:
· A portlet listing the various locations of the dealership. (See above.)
· A portlet for dealership business reports. For P&C, links to the account’s billing statement, policy change letter and policy declarations page(s) are there. For F&I, links to the VSC monthly billing statements, reinsurance cession statements, and retro statements are there. Reports are accessed by clicking on the current report date, or “show all.”
· A portlet for P&C daily claims activity reports. Individual claim information can be examined on a rolling 12 month basis. To access a claim, click the date of the desired claim. The columns can also be sorted by clicking on the column heading.
Access to each AC portlet depends on which “role(s)” a person is designated
The following roles exist on AC:
· Controller
· Dealer principal
· F&I manager
· General manager
· Office manager
· Risk manager
· Sales manager
· Service manager
· System registrar
· Compliance officer
Zurich field personnel do not have access to AC.
All information contained in the various reports on AC should not be shared with anyone outside the business.
General information on the system registrar
The system registrar is a trusted employee of the dealership who manages access to AC by the other dealership employees. The registrar makes all additions and changes to access to AC as necessary, and deletes employees who leave the dealership. As such, the system registrar needs to be aware of new hires, position changes and terminations at a dealership location. It is recommended that there be a backup registrar as well. The dealership probably already has a person such as the office manager or controller that grants access and makes changes on the dealer management system and other administrative systems.
Having the registrar at the dealership (as opposed to having the FIE/AE being the registrar) puts the responsibility of setting up users and changes roles right where it happens.
One registrar can be designated for all of the dealership locations, or separate registrars can be designated for each location. Also, all users, including the registrar, can be assigned to one or more roles within the dealership.
Registrars have access to a third “administration” tab. It contains instructions for the registrar to grant access to dealership employees to view information on AC.
