What Makes Us Full?

"But I have all, and abound: I am full... " Philippians 4:18.

November is typically associated with Thanksgiving. When we start dwelling on the Thanksgiving holiday, we sometimes think of all those lists of things we are thankful for and we seem to think of them as separate items, but Thanksgiving is more than that. It's seeing how God works everything together until we are "full" of His blessings and of His care even through times when we don't seem to have everything we need (or want). It's at those times that we should be thankful too.
So, how thank-fullare you?

There are several words ending in “ful” that tend to make us “full” in our spiritual lives.

Let's take a look at some of them:

Cheerful - John 16:33

Faithful - 1 Corinthians 4:2

Helpful - Matthew 5:16

Hopeful - Titus 3:7

Joyful - Psalm 35:9

Merciful - Matthew 5:7

Peaceful - Matthew 5:9

Powerful - Acts 1:8

Prayerful - 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Thankful - Psalm 95:2

Truthful – Ephesians 4:25

Worshipful - Psalm 95:6

There are other words ending in “ful” that perhaps we don't want to indulge in or it will

make us full of the wrong things.

Here's some of those things that we might want to avoid being:

fearful, hurtful, forgetful, sinful, regretful, wasteful, boastful, awful, dreadful
