Chapter Two Installation

I. Connection between Load cell and Indicator

  1. The 9-pin socket is used for connection with load cell, which foot definition is shown in graph 2-3.
  1. If 4-core shielded cable is used, +S must be short connected with +E, so did -S and -E.

3. ▲!Indicator must be reliably connecting to Load cell and shielded-cable of load cell must be reliably connected to underground. If indicator is powered on, the user should not plug or unplug in order to protect the indicator and load cell.

4.▲!Load cell and indicator are static sensitive devices; you must adopt anti-static measures. In order to protect the operator, indicator, and relevant devices, you should install lightning rod in the thunderstorm frequently happening area

Chapter Three Calibration

  1. According to the Graph 2-1, connecting loadcell to indicator andInputs weighing mode.
  2. Take down the calibration plateat the back of the indicator and move the calibration switch to position of allowing calibration (move to the right side).
  3. According to table 3-1, make calibration step by step.

Notice 1: In step 6,7,8, if you press [weigh] that means this step will not be executed and go to next step directly. Any condition apart from this, press [weigh] is to exit key operation and enter into weighing display mode.

Note 3: Non-linearity correction method: in step 7, press [print] to make non-linearity correction, 2 loading point as maximum; if press [input] in step 7, then it means 1 point calibration( adopt compensation calibration method to achieve non-linearity correction in the future).

Notice: the difference between loading weight of non-linearity and original loading weight must be larger than 10%F.S.

Note 4: Parameter H is the AD codes of calibration ZERO position. C, CH is the first calibration ratio, b is segmentation point of AD code (that is first time loaded AD code), u, uH is the second segmentation point of calibration ratio, CH, uH parameter’s first two bits before decimal is corresponding calibration ratio’s step code, 2 high bit after decimal plus C, u parameter (6 lower bits) consist of corresponding calibration ratio.

Note 5: after testing, some related calibration parameter can be print out (operation method: switch calibration button to allowing calibration, press [print set], press [F9], and press [input]), save it for re-inputting in case of accidental loss of them. When input, you must input F value first, then press [weigh] twice, then start to input. When you input C, CH parameter OR u, uH parameter, you must finish it in one time.

Note 6: if F.S is larger than 65000, then division must be set larger than 5, otherwise, indicator will choose division as 5 automatically.

After calibration, the calibration switch must be on the forbidden calibration position (Left side)

  1. compensation calibration

(1)application environment

In the process of calibration, load around the F.S and find that indicator’s display is different from the real weight (E.g. use the small weights which leads the deviation of F.S). Now, you can use compensation calibration to correct it, no need to unload the weights. (Compensation calibration can not correct deviation led by ZERO drift etc..)

Two method of compensation calibration:

  1. Method 1: use new loading weight to re-calibration, original calibration load is invalid. This method is only for original loading is not reliable, or original loading is close to compensation calibration loading weight.
  2. Method 2: on basis of original loading weight, use new loading weight to make non-linearity correction, original loading is still valid. This method is only for original loading is small, F.S. deviation led by linearity of scale.

(2)Operation method:

  1. compensation calibration 1: in weighing mode, switch calibration button to right, press [print set] to input password [7], [8] then press [input], indicator will show [AdLoAd1], now input the real weight which on the platform, then press [input] to finish the compensation calibration and back to weighing mode, now switch calibration button to left.
  2. compensation calibration 2: in weighing mode, switch calibration button to right, press [print set] to input password [7], [9] then press [input], indicator will show [AdLoAd2], now input the real weight which on the platform, then press [input] to finish the compensation calibration and back to weighing mode, now switch calibration button to left.
  1. division auto-switching (double division)

(1)method

Division auto-switching is for large capacity scale to improve accuracy when it weighs small weight. Indicator can a switching point (A parameter), when weight is larger than A use the original division (that is the division you made in calibration) to display, when weight is smaller than A, now indicator switch division to the lower shift of division then original (for example, original division is 100kg and auto switch to 50kg, original is 50kg then switch to 20kg.)

(2)switch point (A parameter) setting

in weighing mode, switch calibration button to right, press [print set], input pass word [5], [0] then press [input], indicator will show [A ******], now input switch point weight and press [input] to finish setting. Indicator will return to weighing mode, and switch calibration button to left.

This parameter shall be set after calibration, after calibration this parameter will be 0 (that is not use auto switch function.)

(3)Caution;

When division is 1, the function will not be available.

F.S is larger then 65000 and division is 5, this function will be unavailable.

Chapter four Time off

I. Set for trial days.

  1. in weighing mode (switch calibration button to right), press [print set], input password “31”, press [input]
  2. Display [L 000000], input time off pass word (default is “888888”), then press [input] (if the password is correct, move to next step, otherwise, back to weighing mode)
  3. Display [Fre 0], now choose to set new time off pass word or not: “0” means no updating, go to step 6 directly, non “0” means updating, and go to next step.
  4. Display [n 000000], input new password, press [input] (keep the password safely)
  5. Display [r 000000], input new password again, it must be the same as the last step, if not, then back to last step and input again. If yes, password valid and go to next step. (After that, if you want to change the time off, in step 2 you need to input new password set in this step, old password “888888” will not be valid.)
  6. Display [day ***], now set trial days, press [input], finishing setting and back to weighing mode.
  1. Remove, modify time off.

1. Aftertrial days, indicator will show [Err 26], not able to weight, and all keys are locked, now trial days is 0.

2. If want to cancel lock off indicator, just make the trial days as 999.

3. Before or after lock off of indicator, you can modify the trial days at random.

Note: 1) In the process of setting the days, press [weigh] can back to weighing mode.

2) Date and time can be modified by user to effect of time off function. And several times of back time setting can reduce the trial days (each time 24 hours will minus 1 trial days)

3) Keep safe of the password.

  1. Random password unlock

If you lost the password, please follow the step:

In weighing mode, switch calibration button to right, press [print set], input password [3], [2], press [input], indicator will show [r ******], “******” is the random password of this indicator. Remember this password, then press [input] to back to weighing mode and switch the calibration button to left.

Contact salesmen of our company, tell them the random pass word, and you will get a random unlock password, use this password to modify this indicator’s time off parameter (that is unlock the indicator), but it can not used to modify the password or other indicator’s time off parameter. Random password is achieved at random after modify the password.

In order to maintain password setter’s right to prevent unlock other’s locked indicator by purpose, our company will register the unlock password. If you find others unlock your indicator on purpose, you can complaint to our salesmen.

Chapter Five Overload record

XK3190-A9+ indicator can remember 16 group of heaviest weight over load record, for reference or printing out, operation method as follow:

  1. Achieve of overload record.

When weight on platform is larger or equal to overload will alarm, that will achieve a group of overload record (including overload date, time, real weight of overloaded), record overloaded real weights as overloading max value; once overload, only when weight on the platform is smaller than 50% of F.S and overload again, it will consider that second overload is achieved. When over 16 groups are full and 17th group is appearing, it will replace the lightest group of record.

  1. Delete of overload record.

Overload record only can be deleted after one successful calibration.

  1. Check over load record.

Note: overload print is only for reference.

Chapter Six information indication

  1. Error setting information indication.

1. Err 13 means: division setting is wrong, please reset division.

2. Err 14 means: decimal point should less then 5, please reset decimal point.

3. Err 15 means: overload alarm value should less then 100, please reset overload alarm value

4. Err 17 means: a. overload alarm value should not be more than 325000, please reset overload alarm value.

b. input value more then allowed value, please re-input

  1. Other information indication

ctnn 0 means in calibration step 8 or 9, if indicator can’t get the stable data, it will show this. Now, operator should input 0 or 1 or 2, definition as follow:

Input 0: (abort) tell indicator not to do this step and move to next step

Input 1: (retry) tell indicator try again.

Input 2: (Ignore) tell indicator these unstable data is applicable.
