Significant Accomplishments:
- 16 Jan – Business meeting at Chris’s Restaurant
- $861.35 in treasury is the largest reported in a number of years.
- Old chapter minutes dating from 1990 to 2000 were turned over to the NC Room of the NHC Library.
- 21 Feb – George Washington’s Birthday celebration at Madeline Suite at UNCW
- NCSSAR president Grady Hall installed new officers and presented the SAR Rosette and certificate of membership to Ted Humphrey. 41 compatriots and guests attended.

- Mar – State Convention -Received Chapter Activities streamer for 2003-4
- 29 Apr – Business meeting at Golden Corral
- Funds for Grave Markings are no longer available from the state of NC
- Members participated in the Azalea Parade by marching with the Stamp Defiance Chapter, DAR members.
- 15 May – Business meeting at Chris’ Restaurant
- The chapter meets in February, July and October for social gatherings; no set dates for monthly business meetings.
- Needed a replacement for Dick Eisenman to run the JROTC awards program.
- 10 Jul – Social gathering at Hugh McRae Park
- Demonstration of patriot grave markers by President Holt
- Bob Avent will take over the JROTC awards program
- The chapter constitution revision was voted on and approved by the members present
- Bob Avent was presented with the SAR Rosette and a certificate of membership
- 24 Jul – Business meeting at Golden Corral
- Committees formed: Memorial, Social, Awards and ROTC
- Members of the Lower Cape Fear Chapter will march in the 2005 Azalea Parade
- NSSAR wants all official members of a Color Guard to have uniforms of the Continental Line
- 5 Sep – Business meeting at Golden Corral
- Published articles in two area newspapers describing the SAR and encouraging men to join.
- NCSSAR requested that each chapter choose a JROTC leader to receive a Good Citizenship award; the chapter declined the recommendation.
- 11 Nov – Participated in the Massing of the Colors at St Paul’s Episcopal church
- 20 Nov – Social gathering at the Madeline Suite of UNCW
- Lt Col Scott Aikens, USMC presented a program about the military activities in the War against Terrorism
