Academic Selection Advanced Placement/Honors – You will be placed in the next appropriate course level by your counselor. If you are in Honors this year, we will be seeking approval on your behalf for Honors classes next year unless you notify your counselor you are not interested in Honors classes. If you have not been in Honors this year, and want to register for honors classes next year, please pick up a form in the counseling office.

MOWR/Dual Enrollment MOWR/Dual Enrollment is a separate selection process. CURRENT and NEW MOWR students should complete a 2017-18 MOWR student contract and registration form to be turned in by Monday, December 12th 2016. Please see your adviser or counselor for a MOWR registration form.

Foreign Language - All juniors will be registered for Spanish I and all seniors will be registered for Spanish II unless your parent signs a Foreign Language Opt Out form. (Foreign Language is not a graduation requirement, but is a requirement for students seeking a degree at a 2 or 4-year college.) (Opt out forms are available in the counseling office.)

Georgia Virtual School (GAVS) – If interested in scheduling a class not offered at NMHS (one course per year), please meet with your counselor. Acceptance is based on prior academic performance, Lexile scores, and standardized test scores.

Required PE/Health – Your counselor will check to make sure you have had this requirement.
