ABILL TO PROVIDE ASYLUM TO SYRIAN REFUGEES
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Section One: 1 million Syrian Refugees shall be granted Temporary-Protected Status (TP).
A)Each Refugee shall be subject to a thorough security search and a required medical screening.
B)Once arrived in the United States, each refugee shall receive a stipend of 3,000 dollars for the first three months. They shall be provided free housing in affordable apartment complexes. After this time period, each refugee shall be required to earn his/her own money and must pay the rent of the apartment.
Section Two: A Refugee shall be defined as an individual who can not return to the nation wherein they last habitually resided because of fear of persecution of race, nationality, a particular social group, political opinion, etc.
Section Three: The U.S Department of Homeland Security shall oversee the implementation of this legislation.
Section Four: This bill shall come into effect 30 days after passage.
Section Five: All laws in conflict with this legislation are declared null and void.

A Bill to Establish a Cap and Trade System
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Section1:A) A system of carbon credits is hereby created, and shall apply to all entities that produce more than 100 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.
B) Entities, public and private, are hereby prohibited from producing more than 100 tons of carbon emissions annually without redemption of carbon credits.
Section 2:Carbon credits shall entitle their owner to an emission of 1000 metric tons of carbon dioxide each. Six thousand (6,000) carbon credits shall be made available for purchase through an auction immediately upon this legislation’s passage.
Section3:This legislation shall be enacted on October 1, 2016.
Section4:The Environmental Protection Agency shall oversee the implementation of this legislation.
Section5:All laws or parts of laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void

A Resolution to Militarily Engage the People’s Republic of North Korea to Eliminate their Nuclear Threat to the World
WHEREAS, North Korea is a major threat to the security of the United States; and
WHEREAS, North Korea’s multiple declarations of war and threat of nuclear attacks
cannot be taken lightly; and
WHEREAS, North Korea is estimated to currently have approximately 34 kg of
weapons‐grade plutonium, enough for nine nuclear weapons; and
WHEREAS, North Korea has recently been conducting nuclear tests; and
WHEREAS, North Korea possesses a self‐sufficient, combat‐ready military and nuclear
weapons arsenal targeting the United States; and
WHEREAS, Further inaction will give North Korea time to continue development of
their nuclear capabilities; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Congress here assembled that the United States implement a
speedy, surgical, military attack on nuclear weapons development sites in
North Korea.

A BILL TO GRANT HEALTHCARE TO ALL VETERANS
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
SECTION 1. All combat veterans shall be granted government-funded healthcare.
SECTION 1B. $100 billion shall be redirected from the Department of Veteran's Affairs in orderto fund the implementation of this bill.
SECTION 2. Healthcare shall be defined as money provided for medical and psychologicalexpenses.
SECTION 2B: Veterans shall be defined as any individual who has served in any branch of theUnited States Military.
SECTION 3. The Department of Health and Human Services shall oversee the
implementation of this legislation.
SECTION 4. This bill shall be implemented seven months after passage.
SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.

A Bill to Promote Safe Access to Water
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
Section 1.Access to potable water in the United States must be provided by public utilities established for that purpose.
Section 2.No for-profit entity may be assigned, bid upon, or in any way receive the duty of providing the day to day tasks of ensuring access to potable water supplies within the United States
Section 3. Public water utilities may contract to bidding for profit private actors the responsibility to construct the infrastructure necessary for water supply, and sell such equipment as to maintain Section 1.
SECTION 4.It is the affirmative responsibility of state and local government officials to construct and/or maintain such infrastructure as is necessary to ensure home and public health access to potable water.
Section 5 Any law limiting the persona liability of government officials (elected , appointed, or civil service) for their policy actions is null and void in cases in which the safety of potable water is found to violate section 1 in a local, state, or federal court of law.
Section 6 Congress and/or the state legislatures may assign criminal penalties to those public officials found guilty in a court of law for public officials found guilty of violating section 4 of this legislation.
Section 7: Notwithstanding any criminal penalties which may attach in section 6, private individuals are affirmatively allowed to sue officials for actual and punitive damages for failure to uphold Section 4.
Section 8: : The federal Department of Justice and those agencies which may be assigned that task by the applicable state and local governments hall be responsible for enforcing this legislation.
Section 9: This legislation shall take effect six months from the date of passage

The collapse of a major bridge over the Mississippi River have renewed calls for solving the problem of collapsing US infrastructure. The bridge, nicknamed ‘The Kick to Route 66’ abruptly collapsed during rush hour Wednesday. The death toll is estimated to be well over one hundred, perhaps more once the missing are added.
