Grant Conditions/Policies
- Four grants for $250 each are available per fiscal year. July-June.
- Grant funded programs must be located in the Morris University Center or the Stratton Quad.
- Grant dollars can be used in whatever way to support the organizations successful event, but cannot be used to purchase alcohol.
- Programs must be free of charge and open to the SIUe community.
- Funding is open to all on campus/SIUe organizations. Preference in funding is given to registered student organizations. No off campus/non university groups may apply for grant funding.
- Funding opportunities are available until all four grants are awarded.
- Recipients of the grant must designate that the activity is co-sponsored or funded in part by the Morris University Center.
- Preference for grant dollars will be given to programs that have an educational component with an emphasis on developing learning and understanding for issues related to the GLBT community.
- Review will be performed by representatives from the University Center, Safe Zone Committee, and Kimmel Student Involvement Center with final approval by the Director of the University Center.
- Grant applications are to be turned into the Administration Office of the Morris University Center
- Grants are reviewed on the first and third Friday of each month when there is money available.
- Organizations are eligible for only one grant per academic year.
