Amend printed copy of HB 210
On page 1, delete lines 10 through 13, and insert in lieu thereof:
"(a)Scholarships to Kentucky students residing in Kentucky coal-producing counties to decrease the financial barriers to bachelor's degree completion; and"; and
On page 2, delete lines 7 through 25, and insert in lieu thereof:
"(3)A participating institution shall:
(a)Be physically located in Kentucky;
(b)Offer bachelor's degree programs;
(c)Be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools;
(d)Be licensed by the Council on Postsecondary Education; and
(e)Be:
1.An independent, nonprofit college or university, including a work-college as determined by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority;
2.A public university or public university extension campus; or
3.A regional postsecondary education center, including the University Center of the Mountains."; and
On page 2, at the beginning of line 26, delete "(6)", and insert in lieu thereof "(4)"; and
On page 3, at the beginning of line 3, delete "(7)", and insert in lieu thereof "(5)"; and
On page 3, delete lines 14 through 17, and insert in lieu thereof:
"(f)Is enrolled at least half-time at a participating institution in upper division courses in a program of study that leads to a bachelor's degree;"; and

On page 4, at the beginning of line 9, delete "(9)" and insert in lieu thereof "(6)"; and

"(7)The maximum KCCCC scholarship award amount for the 2013-2014 academic year shall not exceed:
(a)Six thousand six hundred dollars ($6,600) per academic year for a student attending a participating institution that is a nonprofit, independent college or university; and
(b)Three thousand three hundred dollars ($3,300) per academic year for a student attending a participating institution that is a public university, public university extension campus, or a regional postsecondary education center."; and
