Slide Eleven – list all websites used while gathering information for this project
Requirements:
You must print your PowerPoint with 4 slides to a page; grayscale only to submit after your presentation. You must email your ppt. to prior to or on the due date of the project. The paper copy of the ppt. is to be submitted in a decorated folder. Decorations should reflect the attraction.
You must divide the slides odd #’d are to be created and presented by one partner, even #’d slides are to be presented by the second partner. This division of work is to be indicated on the printed copy. You must submit your notes written on notebook paper during your research. You are to create a set of notecards for your five slides to be used during the presentation.
You must practice your presentation in class at least once.
You must create a visual aid that will be distributed to the class as a reminder/souvenir of the attraction.
You must be prepared to answer unusual questions about your attraction.
No-Nos
You may not cut/copy/paste words from websites or photos either. You may use freeimages.com for your pictures.
You may not talk during other’s presentations; doing so will result in a 10 point deduction from your score.
You may not submit late work unless you have an excused absence or the direct approval of Mrs. McCann.
You may not read from the screen during the presentation, you may glance at it for reference, but I suggest the use of note cards during the presentation. Ave’ will be the “clicker.”
Daily Plan of Work
Day One: receive assignment, access the internet and begin search for information, writing information down on notebook paper
Day Two: build your five slides; print your grayscale copy; decorate your folder cover; plan your visual aid
Day Three: Create your note cards; practice the presentation in the classroom; complete any remaining work.
Value of Assignment:
Each day you will receive a daily formative grade of up to 50 points for your work in class. Before you leave class you must show Mrs. McCann the fruit of your work for the day (what you have done that day!)
The decorated Folder and notecards will be 100 formative points
The Power Point (both emailed and printed) will be 200 points, Summative (2 Tests Scores). It will be graded on spelling, grammar, readability, information and appropriate font/background.
The Visual Aids (the giveaway souvenirs) will be worth 50 formative points
The Presentation will be worth 100 Summative (1 Test Points)
