SEPTEMBER 2014
Greetings Team DEPAC,
I hope everyone is settling into classes. We are all still excited to about this dance and tumbling season. Everyone has been working hard in classes. And soon, for our first time dance parents especially, students will finally get use to the schedule and teachers. We want to once againthank you all for choosing Dancer’s Edge and trusting us with your dancer(s) dance and tumbling education. We are also glad to have you here as a part of our dance family. Here is what is happening this month.
First, ALL DANCERS are required to dress appropriately for class; hair must be pulled off the face and secured in a ponytail or bun.Dance clothes make you feel like a dancer and therefore the atmosphere is that of a dance class. Parents, I have been seeing too many coming to class in shirts and regular shorts. Students need to be dressed in Leotard/unitard and tights. For those that are in the Tumbling class, we are now offering tumbling shirts for that class. The shirts are $15. For tumbling shirts please see Deana Floyd or you may also email me at . Please be sure to get your shirt as soon as possible, I am going for a more uniform look in our tumbling classes. So this means shirts are MANDATORY.
Next,Studio shirts and Warmups are also still available for order. Please get those orders into me soon. I will be sending out orders by the 15th. The Studio shirts are those worn in parades such as the Christmas parade and Roundup. Shirts are $15, Warmup jacket only is $70, and the entire warm-up is $100. Parents when dropping off or picking studentsup-please drop off and pick up students in a timely manner. And before classes begin, PLEASE be sure that all students go to the restroom before classes begin! This way there are no distractions in class and your dancer is not missing out on instruction. And please remember, there are NO PARENTS ALLOWED in the dance room, unless given permission by the instructor to be there. The door to the lobby is to remain closed until classes are complete. We do that so students are not distracted and completely focused on what is going on in the classroom.
Finally, your first costume deposit is due this month! Parents please remember costume deposits are due for this month (September), October and November. So if you see that your tuition is more that is why. Costumes for students is $50 per costume. And remember each class is taking THREE classes. If you are in the performance tumbling classes, your deposit for the tumbling outfit is due in December. If you need a payment arrangement, please let me know. We will be happy to work with you on that. Tuition is due the first class of the month. If you have any questions about fees please refer to our website, send me an email, or call me. Teachers are happy to help in anyway with questions. But please keep in mind, theinstructor’s time is limited due to having to teach classes. Also please read the board each week to be sure you are up to date about the latest happenings at the studio. If you need anything, please let us know.
Keep Smiling and Keep Dancing
Ms. Marsha
