The archives (participants max 10 people):

The extensive documentary collection that makes up the historical archive of the Istituto degli Innocenti represents a unique asset thanks to its chronological comprehensiveness and variety of contents.

This documentary wealth, comprising nearly 13,000 records, witnesses the life of the ancient Hospital starting from its construction, as well as the life of the various bodies that were joined to the latter over the centuries.Conserved here is a vast collection of documents collected without interruption from the 14th century to the 20th, unique in its kind as to chronological completeness and variety of contents. It is witness to the old Spedale, beginning at its construction through the addition of the numerous facilities that have been joined to it over the centuries.

The Innocenti Library

It is a Library specialized in the rights of the child, originating from the cooperation between the Istituto degli Innocenti and the Unicef Innocenti Research Center, which was made accessible to the public in July 2001. The Library purposes to promote information and documentation activities supporting research and studies on the rights of children and the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the rights of the child. Its documentary patrimony comprises nearly 15,000 documents in various languages and typologies and an extensive collection of national and international periodicals.
