‘ACE & TJ’S ROOF TO VICTORY’ PANTHERS CHALLENGE
Stunt Guy Lives on Roof of Kiss 95.1/WNKS-FM until Panther’s Win
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Thursday, September 24, 2009 – Ultimate Carolina Panthers fan and Ace & TJ Show employee, White Shadow has moved to the roof of Kiss 95.1 / WNKS-FM to live. The self proclaimed super-fan will remain ‘living’ on the roof until the Panthers (currently 0-2), win a game. Shadow’s new home is located off Stuart Andrew Blvd in Charlotte and can be seen from Interstate 77 near exit 7, Clanton Road.
The Ace & TJ Show is available on-air from 6-10 AM, online at www.kiss951.com and www.acetj.com, and through mobile devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and Blackberry.
In a discussion on the nationally syndicated morning show, Shadow said, “I remember the day some 15 years ago when it was announced we were getting a professional football team, my mom drove me to a stand on the side of the road, just so we could get some Panther’s gear.”
Shadow went on to say that he thought this would be the best way to support his team, especially after a rough start to the season, adding, “Ace & TJ gave me some old school radio bits, and after hearing stunts like people living on billboards and stuff, I thought it was such a big deal, giving passion and excitement back to both our listeners and my team, the Panthers.”
Shadow moved to the roof of the radio station this morning and will remain there until the Panthers win a game. The team’s next opportunity comes this Monday night when they take on the Dallas Cowboys.
Shadow has access to power, internet, shelter, and food, but he must spend the majority of his time on an uncovered space that’s roughly 8 x 16 feet. He must brave the elements (like expected rainfall) with only the shelter of a small tent. He will be given breaks when he’s permitted to use the facilities in the building but otherwise must remain on the roof.
