RolePurpose
As part of the evangelisation mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the COSHC Inclusion Support Assistant is accountable for supporting children and other COSHC staff members to meet the needs of children with high additional needs.

FUNCTIONSPECIFICACCOUNTABILITIES
The COSHC Inclusion Support Assistant works under the supervision of the COSHC Centre Coordinator to support children with high additional needs, manage the personal care required for the children, and support each child’s inclusion within the Centre.
The COSHC Inclusion Support Assistant works under the supervision of the COSHC Centre Coordinator in:
- Supporting and being responsible for the physical assistance and/or personal care
- Implementing specific adjustments in accordance with the CEDP/COSHC Personalised Plan
- Supervising at all times the children including excursions if applicable
- Developing a relationship with the child and parents to provide holistic support
- Working in collaboration with the COSHC Centre Coordinator and staff in the implementation of specific program activities
- Undertaking any professional development/training that may be required
- Assisting in the development of other COSHC staff to support children with additional needs
