CONGRATULATIONS:

The Science Olympiad team placed fourth overall in the regional competition on Feb. 13 in Wausau. The team had first place finishes in Disease Detectives by Ashley Hermans and Lydia Engelbreth. There were two third place finishes in Microbe Mission by Hermans and McKenna Mulvey and Game On by Lucas Miller and Eli Goethel. The next competition is the state meetApril 1at UW Stout.

FISHING ; Neenah’s two teams both finished in the top 10 at last weekend’s state tournament on Shawano Lake. The Neenah #2 team captained by Ryan Hultman and Alex Schussman placed seventh and the #1 team captained by Aaron Goldschmidt and Andrew Belter was ninth overall among the 52 competing teams. Goldschmidt caught the largest crappie and Tom Cianciolo was second in the perch category.

Wrestling: Sophomore Beau Yineman earned a berth to this weekend’s state individual tournament after finishing second at the sectional at 182 pounds.

Forensics: We just arrived back from the WHSFA sub-district tournament in Reedsvilletonight. I have great news to report. All thirteen students qualified for the district tournament to be held in Manitowoc onMarch 14th! The district tournament is the last step before qualifying for the state competition in Madison onApril 15th & 16th.

Boys Basketball: Neenah will be the fifth seed for the upcoming WIAA Sectional and opens the postseason with a home game against 12th-seeded Eau Claire North onMarch 4 at 7 p.m.

Girls Basketball: will open WIAA tournament playon Fridayas the fifth seed and host 12th-seeded Oshkosh West in the opening round.

Bowling: the state tournament set forMarch 4-6in Weston.

Girls Hockey: will play Feb. 27– WIAA Sectional Final vs. Fond du Lac or Green Bay,7 p.m.(at Appleton)
