3. EXHIBITION HALL SPECIFICATIONS AND REGULATIONS
a) Venue Specification（HALL 3）
● Construction Constraints: Clear height is 8.3 m, Height for booth construction is 4.5 m.
● Floor: Solid Concrete, Indoor Loading Capacity At 1.5 Tons/ M2
● Power Supply: 3-Phase,5-Line, 380V/220V, 50HZ
● Lighting: 300LUX
● Number of Column/Distance: 9 Columns with width 80cm Distance is 18m
● Elevator: 4 Cargo lifts of 5 tons 4 Cargo lifts of 3 tons

b) Safety Notice
1) Fire Protection
● A clear space of at least 50 cm shall be maintained between all lightings and the inflammables or
the adornments.
● Exhibitors are required to comply with rules and regulations by local fire & security government
sector, emergency measures by the organizer as well as the evacuation plan and any other fire regulations.
● No build-up or display by exhibitor is allowed on the yellow lines which is underneath
the fire roller blinds; any wrap-ups along the sides of roller blinds are not allowed, unless it is approved by the organizer in advance, in consideration of sufficient space is left for the wrap-up
of special purpose so as to ensure the proper use of sliding channels of the roller blinds.
● Any exhibitor, contractor or user should not make changes, alternations and adjustments towards
passages, exits, emergency lightings, fire extinguishers, alarms, fire sprinkler devices and other safety devices.
● Smoking is forbidden in the venue. The organizer reserves the rights to place fine towards those
who smoke and claim compensation on any damages caused.
● The installation of high-power electric equipment should be approved by the venue in advance.
Such facilities can only be used under the premise of ensuring safety.
● Smoking and operation with fire are prohibited in the exhibition halls during the move-in &
set-up, move-out and show period.
● The operations using electric saw/electric planer/electro gas welding /electricity gas cutting are
required to be done generally in outdoor area during the set-up period. Those which must be operated in the exhibition halls should pay higher attentions to fire preventions and clean up the wastes timely. All the operations of electric welding and cutting should be approved in advance. Fire is strictly prohibited and good ventilation is a must for painting and spaying operations. A fire-forbidden area should be established. All the fire protection measures should be secured.
● The flammable sundry should be cleared timely, while all the flammable packaging materials are
not allowed to be stored in exhibition halls.
● Keep clear of all the exits. No Occupying the exits. No covering of the exit signs.
2) Electrical Installation
● It is strictly forbidden to use single wires with no sheath, twist pairs or aluminum wires.
● When sub-circuits are connected, insulating porcelain and plastic joints must be used, instead of
being wrapped directly by insulating adhesive tape before any insulation protection measures are taken.
● Electric lines crossing passageway shall be protected by a cable bridge.
● The materials being used in electrical work must get certificate from relevant departments.
● All electrical wirings must install branch switches. The capacity of electrical wirings should be
balanced, and used overhead lines, or taken effective protection. Such as load equipments must be worked with good grounding device.
● The laying of electrical wirings should use protective sleeve lines and professional line connector.
Twisted pair can’t be used except cap lines. Electrical wirings which lay in a hidden place should be protected by metal valve, or PVC pipe. And to ensure the safe distance between the lighting and combustible materials (more than 0.5 meters).
● Please don’t put the electricity point on the aisle, passage or visible place in booth, the
flammable material and water dispenser around the electricity box are prohibited.
● All of the metal frame, metal shell must be grounding; all the wiring must fixed, and cannot be
laid on the aisle or passage, all the wires should be pipe wrapped and wires crossing the aisle should be effectively covered by the groove plate. The insulation tape cannot be used directly on wire connecting, accessory as plastic connector should be used as a connection firstly.
● Every use of mobile electric power tools must be qualified and complied with the “low
compliance” requirement. Construction with temporary power cord must be used with sheathed copper core flexible cord less than 5 meters in length, the plug cannot be settled at middle. Strictly forbidden to directly access the leading wire into the socket, plug connection must be used.
● The power distribution boxes using for the exhibitions, conferences and a variety of events must
be placed in the specified safe location, strictly forbidden to place in the unsafe site of passages, fire-escapes and booths.
● Easily fever electrical equipment and high-temperature lamp can be used after get application.
Flammable material around high-temperature lamp (within 1 meter) is prohibited.
● Ventilation opening should be set on enclosed lamp box.
● Lighting must be located 50cm over flammable materials. The fluorescent lamp and high
pressure mercury lamp must not installed on flammable materials.
● The loading the optical, halogen tungsten lamp or neon light are prohibited in the exhibition
hall.
● Exhibitors are required to check and ensure the security work before applying for power and gas
from the Organizer. The venue will check again with the organizer and the exhibitor when the application from the organizer is received. The power or gas will be transmitted in 2 hours when the check is done.
3) Safety Inspection
● For safety reasons, you and your items are requested to go through the security check before you
enter the exhibition ground as required by Shanghai Municipal Government. The following items are prohibited to bring into the exhibition halls: Firearms, and mechanical appliances used for army or police; Explosive objects; Combustible or detonable objects; Toxic or harmful objects; Corrosive objects; Radioactive objects; Controlled cutters; Lighters. Other items harmful to other people and forbidden for carry-on as per National Laws and Codes. Please pay attention to your service items to avoid taking wrong or missing.
4) Others
● All the contractors shall have the helmet in the exhibition halls during the move-in and move-out
period. To those who fail to wear the helmet, the security guard of the venue has the right to stop them entering the exhibition hall.
● No smoking is allowed in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center.
● No cooking is allowed in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center.
● No outside snacks are allowed in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center.
● No flammable and explosive materials are allowed in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center.
● Please refer the safety guide of Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center.
4. Freight Forwarding
● Please contact with the Official Forwarder or Valuable Cargo Carriers to get the details. The
Organizers will not be responsible for any forwarding matters. Do not consign exhibits to Organizer and Shanghai World Expo Exhibition And Convention Center.
● There is a public car-park connected to the exhibition complex. Users have to pay the rate
according to the details of exhibition hall.
● The IC Vehicle Pass is required for vehicle entering the loading bay for cargo unloading.
Ø Height limit for vehicles entering the exhibition hall is 4 meters and speed limit is 5 km per
hour.
Ø Exhibitors need to pay the cost of making the IC Vehicle Pass along with a prepayment of
parking fee in the loading bay. The Cargo Vehicle Pass issued by the organizer should be returned at the hall entrance while the IC Vehicle Pass should be shown to claim the remaining parking fee. Exhibitors shall compensate for any possible damage or loss of either the Cargo Vehicle Pass or the IC Vehicle Pass.
Ø The prepayment for parking fee in the loading bay shall be RMB 400 per vehicle. The actual
parking fee shall be calculated based on the actual parking time recorded in the IC Vehicle Pass. The prepayment shall be fully refunded for less than one hour parking. The hourly parking fee after the first hour shall be RMB 100. The parking fee shall be charged at RMB100 per 30 minutes from the third hour. The prepayment shall not be refunded for parking time over three hours.
Ø The driver of the cargo vehicle shall remain in his driving seat during unloading/loading and
shall drive the vehicle out of the loading bay immediately after finishing. A fine shall be imposed by deducting the prepayment in the IC Vehicle Pass in case of any congestion caused by inobservance.
Ø No vehicle is allowed to enter the exhibition hall without prior permit of the venue security.
Empty Crates / Boxes
There is no storage space for empty crates / boxes or packing material in the exhibition hall. Exhibitors are responsible for removing them. Any goods or packing material left at the corridor may be disposed of without prior notice and extra removal charges will be incurred. Should you require temporary storage, please contact the official forwarders for rates.
● Move-out Permit
At the completion of the Fair, exhibitors must complete the form about the kinds of exhibits needed to remove from the booth sign and change for move-out permit with common mark.
5. Onsite Exhibits Sales Procedure
International exhibitors are increasingly concerned about onsite exhibits sales procedures, and for
which, the organizer have made the following arrangements:
a. Brink's Diamond (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. / Brink's Jewelry (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is appointed as the only Official Import & Export Agency at SHANGHAI WORLD JEWELRY EXPO 2014. This Official Agency will provide exhibitors with information about customs declaration and other formalities on onsite transactions. They will also provide assistance to exhibitors for customs declaration for onsite transactions conducted during the fair at their counter in the hall.
b. Bondex Logistics Co. Ltd is appointed as the only Official Freight Forwarder and Brink's Security transportation (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recommended by the Organizer to handle valuable goods forwarding, will work together to handle freight forwarding and customs declaration.
