AP English Literature – Allusion Group 7

1. It is important that you understand allusions to the items below to improve your understanding of literary meaning.

In other words, if you do not “get” the allusion, you will not fully understand the literature.

2. You will have two days to complete each group of allusions, and you may take notes on them in any format that you

choose (graphic organizer, regular notes, Cornell notes, etc.). Two groups of notes will be due each week for weeks 2

– 6; there will be a test on them one week after your notes have been returned and we have finished our reviews.

3. You may read any sources you wish to find the information you need to take notes: the Bible, encyclopedias,

reference books, the Internet (choose a reputable source).

Group 7: Arthurian Legends

The notes for Allusion Group 7are due on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the beginning of class.

AP English Literature – Allusion Group 8 (last one!)

The test will be on Friday, September 30, and will be worth 150 points.
