Schedule

8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. Mason Hall. School Check in and on site registration

9:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Rehearsals

11:45 – 1:00 p.m. LUNCH BREAK (on your own)

1:00 p.m. – 2:20 p.m. Combined Rehearsal of Alabama & Star Spangled Banner

2:30 p.m. Finished!

Cost, $5 per student (music is not included)

We must have a signed permission slip (see attached) for all participating students. Each student must have their own music and be chaperoned (by a teacher or an authorized adult) while on campus.

Teachers – Please send in your registration forms (postmarked) by Wednesday, October 5th. After that date you may bring your registration forms and fees with you on the day, but please call or email JSU Choral Activities offices with your numbers prior to your arrival so that we can be ready for you: , (256) 782-5544.

Bands of America Regional

On this same day, October 8, 2011, JSU will be hosting the Bands of America Contest in the Paul Snow Auditorium, which runs well into the evening and will include several performances of the JSU Marching Southerners. Please think about going to that event after the All State Choir Audition Prep Class is finished. Invite your band friends to come as well. I give permission for my child/ward to participate JSU Alabama All State Choir Audition Prep Class on Saturday, October 8, 2011. I understand he/she must be chaperoned while on campus I understand that my child must bring his/her own legal copies of the music with him/her on the day of the prep class. In the event that my child becomes ill or injured while attending the JSU Honor Choir festival at Jacksonville State University, I/we hereby give permission to have a doctor or hospital in the area to prescribe medication or treatment and do hereby waive any and all rights and claims against JSU, its trustees, officers, agents, and employees arising from injuries suffered. I/we assume full responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of illness or injuries suffered while participating in this even. It is agreed that this waiver of liability is submitted to JSU as an inducement to include the said student in this even and that this agreement I signed as the undersigned’s free and voluntary act with full knowledge of the contracts thereof.

Please return this form, along with a $5 to your child’s choir teacher. All forms and fees from each school must be mailed into JSU (by the teacher) by Wednesday, October 5, 2011. We reserve the right to cancel any of the rehearsals if we have insufficient registration, so please observe the deadline.
