TOPIC: PATRIOTS CHOOSE LOVE WEEK
Fearless Friday - Plan to sit with someone new during lunch--You might be surprised how much you have in common! Be fearless and make a new friend!
Kindness Challenges: Come and pick up a Pinpoint Challenge at the table in the cafeteria. As you finish your challenge, take a picture and post it on InstaGram with the #PatsChooseLove. Then sign the back of your pin point, and tape it to the "I Was Here" map outside of the library. Remember: You never know how far even a small act of kindness will go!
Patriots Choose Love buttons: Find a StuCo member or come to the table in the cafeteria and buy a button for $1. All money will go to The Sandbox at Madeline's place. This local organization's mission is to empower teenagers to navigate adolescence safely, happily, and with a healthy sense of self.
TOPIC: NATIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE WEEK
Here is your language fun fact from the LOTE Dept. for Mar. 13: Did you know? South Africa has 11 official languages-the most for a single country-and the USA has NO official language!

TOPIC: BASEBALL SOFTBALL OVER SPRING BREAK
Finding yourself in Georgetown over Spring Break? Don’t forget our Patriot Baseball and Softball teams are both playing on Thursday, March 19. The Men will be hosting Vandegrift at 7 pm and the Ladies will be hosting GHS at 4. Come on out and support your Patriots during Spring Break!
TOPIC: RUBY SLIPPER
Ladies, if you are interested in becoming a Ruby Slipper Representative for East View for next year, please pick up an application in the front office. We are planning another amazing year for our Women's organization. Applications are due by Friday, March 27th. Thank you, and remember “Always with Grace"!
TOPIC: BAND
This Saturday, March 14th, the EVHS Band program is hosting a Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC) show at our school beginning at noon. 50 performing winter color guards and winter percussion ensembles from all around the state will be travelling to East View to compete in this event. This contest will bring at least 1,000 spectators, over 40 performing ensembles, and hundreds of performing students from all over our area to East View. Hosting this event will help the band program continue to establish an excellent reputation as well as allow us to serve the Central Texas band community. This is a very special and exciting opportunity for the EV Band. Both the East View Winter Guard and Winter Percussion Ensembles will be participating in this contest. We wish them the best of luck and encourage you to stop by the high school tomorrow to check out this exciting event!
