The Chair welcomed members of the Community Safety Partnership and the Lifewise project and thanked the Humberside Fire & Rescue Service for hosting the meeting.

-Augmented Reality Proposal: Business case for HCC funding being developed
-Board members: Dr Dan Roper and John Fitzgerald have accepted invitation to join the CLB
- Hull City Council Budget Projections

-Savings required in Hull and ideas being developed to address budget gaps including different ways of working
-Council funding set aside to support City Plan projects and develop Green Port Hull

- Community Safety Partnership (CSP)
- Peter Wright (Chief Executive of Humberside Probation Trust & CSP Chair) highlighted the strength of the partnership and its added value in the community safety agenda.
- Tracy Harsley (HCC) reported on the CSP’s success nationally and outlined its vision and contribution to the City Plan as a key enabler.
- Richard Hannigan, Chief Fire Officer emphasised how the success of the CSP had driven down the demand for HFR services by 45%, subsequently freeing up HFRS staffing resources to be used more innovatively to improve people’s lives.
- A purpose built centre for intergenerational activity, delivering education and prevention activities by public, private and VCS initiatives.
- income generation for sustainability
- training opportunities for safeguarding the vulnerable
- easy access for communities
Agreed: project to be supported for its contribution towards the goals of the City Plan.
- City Plan Projects
- First meeting held on 30.10.13 and Councillor Bayes elected as Chair
- S40 to be appointed as Project Director, previously involved in the delivery of The Deep and Hull York Medical School
- First draft of economic impact assessment produced, and following further work will be reported at the next meeting of the CLB
- MOD Industry Day – January 2014
- Competition for vessel likely to come from other cities
