Job Title:Quality Assurance Officer(ESF STRIDE Project)

Responsible To:Quality and Policy Manager
Objective:The Quality AssuranceOfficer will work as an integral part of the Employment Services team and collaborate with other functions to support effective contract management and quality assurance across Usel’s ESF project delivery.

Job Description:
To monitor and evaluate project staff in various sites across Northern Ireland, ensuring contractual commitments are met in accordance with programme guidance, funder requirements and best practice
To ensure quality assurance activities for all training qualifications
To ensure good practice and standardisation activities are implemented
To quality assure the participant records and to ensure they meet quality standards
To build and maintain effective working relationships with External and Internal stakeholders
To contribute to capacity building of relevant staff by providing effective feedback
Ensuring high quality interactions with participants through observations
To ensure remedial and developmental issues are identified and acted on to develop individuals, improve the quality of support, and ensure clients receive consistently high-quality services.
Undertaking relevant analysis/investigation within the projects to support ongoing Service Design and Development through gathering evidence, participating in relevant group meetings and piloting and implementing initiatives relevant to quality management and improvement
Support Project Managers and Finance Manager to ensure appropriate financial controls are in place to manage resource budgets
Contribute to written reports on project/programme quality management as required including reports for the funders and internal progress monitoring reports.
Undertake any additional activities that are consistent with the general duties of this post
Person Specification:
Essential:
1 year or more experience within the last 3 years of working in a quality role within a government/European grant funded programme
TAQA Level 4 quality assurance qualification or equivalent
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Computer Literate, in particular Microsoft Office packages (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
Driving Licence and access to a car (if the effects of a disability preclude an individual from holding a driving licence then they should indicate how they could meet the mobility requirements of the post).
Desirable:
Knowledge and experience of ESF funded programmes guidelines and procurement processes
Knowledge and experience of working within the DFE quality framework
Knowledge and experience of dealing with Awarding Bodies
Knowledge of the needs of people with a disability or people with health conditions within an employment setting.
Terms and Benefits
Salary: £22,107 – £24,882
Holidays: 27 days Annual Leave and 10 days Statutory Leave
Hours of Work: Mon to Thus 8.15 a.m. – 4.30 p.m. andFri 8.15 –12.15 p.m.
