TITLE: Vice President of Facilities
DEPARTMENT: Facilities
SUMMARY & PURPOSE: Vice President of Facilities provides leadership in the areas of facility and fleet maintenance and all supporting services such as food service, security, housekeeping and maintenance; pursues organizational alignment with MRM Mission, Vision and Values through relationship building, staff development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures. As a key member of the senior leadership team, provide leadership, advice and support to the President and Vice Presidents to ensure that MRM mission is carried out with effectiveness and impact.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
· Primary Relationship: Answers directly to the MRM President
· Other Essential Relationships:
· Supervises all Facility staff
· Support all department leadership staff in facility maintenance and housekeeping needs; security, food service needs
· Oversees education and training of housekeeping/maintenance, security and foodservice staff
· Oversees direct reporting to MRM President for MRM Board on facility, capital projects and real estate issues
· Partner with President and other key staff to provide overall leadership for MRM
DUTIES & RESPONSBILITIES:
· Partner with President and senior leadership staff to guard and promote MRM Mission, Purpose and Values
· Participate in timely and accurate reporting according to MRM needs and expectations, keep senior staff informed and demonstrate commitment to open communication in an effort to fully participate in organizational problem-solving, decision making, and strategic planning.
· Provide support, oversight, and direction for all facility and support service departments to insure adequate and well-trained staffing and optimal operation in accordance with MRM needs:
Ø Food Service Ensure that service staff is in compliance with all food service regulations. Ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment on on hand for all MRM food service requirements
Ø Housekeeping/Maintenance Ensure that MRM facilities remain impeccably clean and in excellent operating condition. Manage equipping of staff and manage all vendors, suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal efficiency and quality service.
Ø Security Oversee security staff. Ensure that security staff is properly equipped with all necessary security equipment and resources to ensure the safety and protection of MRM clients, staff, volunteers and property.
Ø Warehouse Provide adequate staffing and equipping to ensure all products in MRM warehouse are safe, secure, inventoried and managed for optimal stewardship of these resources.
· Ensure facilities are in good repair and that MRM meets OSHA requirement; work with facilities staff to create and implement routine maintenance plan for all equipment and facilities, vehicles and equipment
· Assist President and senior staff in developing adequate disaster plans and training activities.
· Continually monitor and assess facilities, vehicles and equipment needs of MRM and make timely recommendations to President
· Assist in providing leadership, reporting and recommendations to President and MRM leadership on all real estate acquisition and capital projects
· Regularly evaluate and monitor facility and support service vendors, contractors and suppliers
· Research and advise real estate, vehicle and major equipment acquisition
· Provide key interface, monitoring and management of contractors and provide general oversight for major facility and capital projects.
· Assist President and VP of Administration in preparation of budget and financial reporting related to facility and support service needs and expenses
· Partner with VP of Programs to create high-quality work opportunities including training and certification for MRM program members
· Partner with VP of Advancement to create and assist in managing regular and on-going volunteer opportunities in facility and support services.
· Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization
· Build, develop, and improve operations, processes and procedures to support our MRM Mission and strategic direction
· Assist President in evaluating and negotiating contracts for MRM
· Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of MRM.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
· Undergraduate degree in applicable field (business, hospitality, or law enforcement)
· Graduate degree desirable
· 7-10 years of business, property management or security with increasing responsible leadership as a supervisor or administrator

· Full-time salaried position, with the flexibility to work odd hours when necessary
