  2. Go over the Act II quiz. Make corrections.
  3. Rd. R&J, Act III.i-ii. Watch video of balcony scene and fight scene between Mercutio and Tybalt. Discuss the Prince’s reaction towards the situation and punishment for Romeo. Highlight key quotes.
  4. Independent Work Time—Remember that your R&J questions for Acts I-III and your defined lit terms will be graded on Friday.

HOMEWORK:Read the modern text of Act II.ii-iii in your No Fear Shakespeare. Come to class prepared to work a ½ day tomorrow and full day Thursday on your portfolio.

Wednesday, April 12

  1. Journal #17 Read the two articles about libraries. Then answer the following prompt: Which author MOST successfully develops the topic according to his/her purpose using valid reasoning and relevant evidence? Use details from BOTH articles to support your answer.
  2. EOC selected response practice with an informational text from newsela.com
  3. Unit 5 Choosing the Right Word.
  4. Read Romeo and Juliet III.iii using assigned reading parts. Students will read scenes iv-v on their own in the No Fear Shakespeare text. Whatever is not completed in class should be completed for homework
