CALL TO ORDERThe regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order by
Trustee Pedersen at 5:15 pm, held at Station #1, 835 Holbek Dr. North Bldg. Antioch, Illinois.
ATTENDANCEThe following Trustees were present: TrusteePedersen, Trustee Van Patten, Trustee Tabar,Attorney Venturi, District Administrator Jozefiak, FireChief John Nixon, District Secretary Kikos, GuestD/C Cokefair, and D/C Lienhardt.

MINUTESThe district minutes of February 18, 2016 were presented by Trustee Pedersen.A motion was made by Trustee Tabar, second by Trustee Van Pattento approve the minutes as presented.

TREASURERS REPORT Trustee Van Patten reviewed the treasurer’s report of March 10, 2016 and noted a CD was coming due for Landlot. Trustee Van Patten suggested renewing for another 6 months at a rate of .40%.
Amotion was made by Trustee Tabar second TrusteePedersen to approve the Treasurer’sreport of March 10, 2016 as presented.

AUTHORIZE PAYMENT A motion was made by TrusteeTabarseconded by Trustee Pedersento authorize thedistrict secretary to pay from the Corporate FundMoney MarketAccount#016624-05to thecheckingaccount #016624-01 at AmericanMidwest Bank tocover paymentof account payablesfor March 10, 2016 as auditedby the district board in the amount of $22,848.22 for the district and $44,669.47 debited from the 403account forpayroll/taxliabilitiesand$25,526.25 forthe Village for atotal of$93,043.94 aspresented.

TRANSFER OF FUNDSA motion was made by TrusteeVan Patten seconded by TrusteeTabar to transfer $48,300 from the Corporate Fund Money Market Account#016624-05 to the checking account #016624-01 at American Midwest Bank to cover payment of the bills for March 10, 2016, as presented.

TRANSFER OF FUNDS A motion was made by Trustee Van Patten, seconded by Trustee Pedersento authorize the district secretary to transfer funds electronically if necessary for 2 payroll transfer from the 405 Money Market Account to the 403 Payroll Account not to exceed $60,000 as presented.

ATTORNEY VENTURIAttorney Venturi noted that he looked into the district adopting local fire codes. Discussion ensued regarding following the county guidelines. Trustee Pedersen asked if chief could look into what other departments use as inspectors, and the cost and revenue involved.

Chief Nixon noted that an offer was made for the tower ladder in the amount of 125,000 plus 2 used Stryker power cots approximately 2 years old and to half of the pump and ladder certification. The trustees all agreed with the sale conditions.
A motion was made by Trustee Tabar, second Trustee Van Patten to sell the 1999 Freightliner if passes all inspections to the Middleburgh Heights Ohio Fire Department with the said agreement to be split 50/50 between the fire district and the village of Antioch as presented.

ADMIN. JOZEFIAKAdministrator Jozefiak mentioned that the IGA with the village of Antioch is still in effect until 2017, also mentioned that he has been working on the budget with Trustee Van Patten and Attorney Venturi and should have it ready for next meeting for review and hopefully pass at the May or June meeting.
TRUSTEETABARTrustee Tabar reviewed the Joint Fire Committee meeting of March 9th with the trustees and noted that a committee was formed to work on the transition of assets between the two parties. Chief Nixon asked if the district has given any consideration of a name change to incorporate the village into the fire department. Trustee Van Patten noted that the First Fire Protection District of Antioch Township was the first fire district in the state of Illinois and thought that was an historical piece of history. This could be discussed at a later date.
TRUSTEE VAN PATTEN Trustee Van Patten asked what the districts ISO rating was in the district and village.Chiefnoted that the district is a 10 because of the lack of water supply and the village is at a 4 as it has hydrants. Chief has tasked Deputy Chief Cokefair with looking into dry hydrant systems in the district to help improve ratings.
TRUSTEE PEDERSENTrustee Pedersen noted that he received his receipt of the Statement of Economic Interest and will get a copy for Lori to have on file.
