Winter is upon us, and the last thing you feel like is diving into the pool, but some of us Coelacanths keep training and participating, in heated and indoor pools! Good for you!
WELCOME TO NEW MEMBERS
I was so excited about Sasolburg, that I have not mentioned our new members for awhile now. Some already have come along with us to Sasolburg. I hope and wish you all a long and happy,successful stay with the club.

Tshwane and Coelacanths AGM’s were held on the Saturday 5th May.
We had a record attendance of 50+ members. Thank you to all those who attended and made it such a happy and successful occasion. We had loads of laughs, AGMs can be fun, it is what you make it.

CALLING CARDS/BUSINESS CARDS
200 were printed and 100 taken by our members at the AGM, to do some
heavy recruiting. We lose some and we gain some, but we must always catch whoever we can at the pools, while training. Let Masters grow in Tshwane and South Africa, getting the people aware of what Masters Swimming is all about, and what they can achieve and get up to????
PAST EVENTS
Well done to those who swam in the 1st Frostbite Gala at Wahoo Pool. Some very good times were done for this time of the year. It is such a great venue, so lets get together when the next one is due (still to hear) and do our best!
FORTHCOMING EVENTS
For the new members, a new schedule will be out by June.
We have had an invite to Sop, Swem and Sjerrie once again, and once again, we are going. Not to be missed. Not for the serious either. It is a lot of fun, no blocks, no records, great prizes and food and hospitality of note! Please let me know if you are coming along. We all leave on the Saturday morning around 6am and stay for one night at Unitas Herberg at a cost of approx. R125.00 pp.

KIT
We are in the process of ordering some more track-suits and golf-shirts. We have some ladies working on a new style costume for us, and the men as well, who mentioned at the AGM that they would like “Ancient but not Extinct” embroided on the front!!!! Of course had us all in fits of laughter!!
Our new V-Neck T-Shirt is on sale with our motto on the back, only R50.00.

OUR WINTER BRAAI GET-TOGETHER - RIETVLEI DAM
This will be on the Saturday 21st of July, 2007. Bring along your meat, drinks etc, friends as well. Fires will be lit at 12.30pm. More info for those who don’t know how to get there will follow. Ideal opportunity to meet everyone and those who have not yet paid their subs, this is a great time to do so. I have to congratulate the members for being unbelievably prompt in paying their subs so early, we now have 51 paid up members already in May……well done!!
