Supplies needed for 7th grade Pre-Algebra Pre-AP/GTeach day:

  • 1 binder with5 dividers
  • #2 pencils
  • Workbook – issued in class
  • Spiral notebook –for notes and homework
  • notebook paper
  • checking pen/pencil – any color EXCEPT black or yellow
  • Dry Erase marker

***PLEASE KEEP YOUR TEXTBOOK AT HOME***

Supplies needed occasionally:

  • graph paper – ¼ inch
  • map pencils
  • highlighter

***Please keep protractors at home

Grading:

Major grades = 60% of total grade

Daily grades = 30 % of total grade

Homework = 10 % of total grade

***EXPECT HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT***

Daily assignments should be written in Binder Reminder or Math spiral each day.

Please check teacher websites regularly for homework assignments, test days, projects, due dates, the 6-week calendar, and any other additional information. This is the best way to stay informed about what is going on in your child’s math class!

**MATH CLUB**

Everyone is welcome!

Math Club meets at 8:00 on Wednesday mornings.

The first meeting will be announced!

Here are some guidelines for a successful year. Please see your student handbook for all general rules.

I. CLASSROOM BEHAVIOR

  • Be prepared for class. Take care of locker, restroom, and water fountain visits before class begins.
  • Avoid tardies - be seated before the bell rings.
  • Bring all necessary supplies to class and sharpen all pencils before the tardy bell rings.
  • Chewing Gum is not allowed!
  • Wait to be dismissed from class by your teacher, not the bell.
  • Courtesy to others is expected.
  • Students arerequired to show work for full credit!
  • ****Full credit will not be given for answer only, even if it is correct.

In Mathematics, it is about the process, not just the answer.

II. ABSENCES

  • It is your responsibility to get missed notes, warm-ups, and assignments!!!
  • See teacher’s web site for missed assignments
  • Students should make arrangements with the teacher to make up any missed quizzes or tests.
  • Pay attention to the ABSENCES policy in your handbook.

III. TESTS

  • Major tests will be given onMonday orWednesday.

IV TUTORING

  • 7th grade Pre-Algebra PreAP/GT Tutoring : Please check teachers’ website for tutoring days.

V. PROCEDURES

  • Students will do all work in #2 pencil.
  • Homework will be checked daily for completion.
  • Spiral will be used for daily notes and homework.
