MOHO Assessments for Children and Young People
Focussing on the COSA, PVQ and SCOPE
with Sue Parkinson –Lead author of the MOHOST
15th October 2015
9.15am – 4.00pm
Boardroom, Dr Steeven’s Hospital, Steeven’s Lane, Dublin 8
The Child Occupational Self Assessment (COSA), the Paediatric Volitional Questionnaire (VQ) and the Short Child Occupational Profile (SCOPE) are evidence-based assessments that are truly occupation-focused. The COSA is a self report that allows young people to rate their sense of competence and the importance that they place on everyday activities; the PVQ describes three levels of volitional development (exploration, competency and achievement); while the SCOPE determines how volition, habitation, skills, and the environment facilitate or restrict a child's occupational participation. (Visit for further information).
This event aims to introduce the COSA, PVQ SCOPE to occupational therapists, irrespective of their level of knowledge of the Model of Human Occupation. Please note that all the instructions for administering these assessments are contained in the relevant manuals and attending a workshop is not essential for occupational therapists wishing to use the assessments.
