Avonbourne School, Bournemouth
Staff in the Maths Department at Avonbourne School in Bournemouth have written a Scheme of Work for all pupils in Years 7 and 8. Year 9 is in preparation. Heinemann is very pleased to be able to reproduce Avonbourne’s Schemes of Work in full.
Year 7
The school organize Year 7 into four sets for mathematics, who use Impact 1G and 1R. They are working at the following levels:
Group 4: 1G Foundation, working at level 3 and below
Group 3: 1R Lower Intermediate, working at levels 4/5
Group 2: 1R Higher Intermediate, working at levels 5/6
Group 1: 1R Higher, working at levels 6/7
With Group 4, the school uses Springboard alongside Impact materials, and the Scheme of Work reproduced here has references to both resources for year 7.
Year 8
By Year 8, the sets are using 2G, 2B and 2R.
Using the Schemes of Work
The highlighted sections in bold are the key objectives reproduced from the Framework. The Schemes of Work include references to Impact, Springboard, CAME and SMILE.
