Create a Jingle!

Music and Drama Activity

In this activity, you will be responsible to create a fictitious product and create a commercial on that product using the Imovie and Garageband Tools.

Learning Goal:

We are learning to apply the elements of music to create a commercial jingle.

Success Criteria:

Media Literacy

- I can identify my target audience, and have effectively demonstrated the ability to persuade my audience to purchase my product through my commercial.

- I have included a variety of techniques to communicate my message effectively using the Imovie and Garageband software. (I have added a jingle, slogan and product logo in my commercial by creating effective sound and video arrangements)

Music (marks can be given to Mrs. Knauer)

-  I have effectively applied the elements of music through the performance of my jingle to engage my audience.

-  My jingle is an appropriate duration and pitch within my commercial and allows the audience to connect with my product and slogan.

-  I have created an original music composition using the Garageband software and have used editing software effectively.

-  I have communicated the benefits of my product through a dramatic scene which engages the audiences and fits the purpose of my commercial (to sell a product to a target audience)

-  I have used time and space effectively by using props, costumes, and/or furniture to establish an appropriate setting for my commercial.
