Calculating Cost In Excel
Directions: A local builder has contacted you and needs an excel spreadsheet designed to help the business calculate the total amount of cost and labor that is being used to construct various products. Below are the items that are commonly used at the business and need to be entered into the spreadsheet (see example below for excel setup help). Make sure to include the formulas that will calculate the totals, taxes and amount due.

Directions 2:Create 4 Excel Spreadsheets to display cost for particular items that the local builder constructs (to do this first save your work, next in the bottom left hand corner right-click on the tab that says Sheet 1. Next select Move or Copy, after this in the Before Sheet Section select sheet 2 and place a check mark in the Create Copy check box. Click OK. This will add a new sheet with the same data as you have on sheet one). Repeat this process until you have 4 sheets along with the original spreadsheet data(5 total spreadsheets). Next rename your first sheet Original and the other 4 sheets(to do this right click on the sheet tab(this is where you see sheet1, sheet2, etc) in the lower left hand corner and select rename, type in the following names: Picnic Table, Dog House, Chair, Bookcase).
Now using your excel spreadsheets fill in the following information within the 4 sheets that you have renamed for particular products. Use the materials list from below to help with this step. .
Picnic Table Material List:
