Supply Early Childhood Educators and/or Assistants

The Serpent River First Nation Day Care is seeking individuals who are motivated, creative, resourceful, dependable, reliable, energetic and caring. The ECE/ECEA is responsible for the overall supervision of the children within the component of the program under his/her care. He/she is expected to guide children in their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. The ECE is responsible for daily programming as well as maintaining appropriate liaison with parents, and carrying out guidelines as laid out by the Child Care and Early Years Act and Serpent River First Nation Day Care Policy and Procedures

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma from a Recognized College or University an asset
  • Previous experience in working within a child care setting an asset
  • Clear current CPIC (a letter from SRFN Day Care can be provided, if required)
  • Updated Immunizations and TB tests
  • First Aid/Infant and Child CPR, training to be provided if required
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working with children and ability to work within a flexible TEAM setting
