Philosophy Statement:
My philosophy of education is to be learner responsive by valuing and respecting learners and faculty by understanding they each come with their own differences of their roles, perspectives, and processes of learning. My concept and goal of education is to begin with the individual’s level of development and knowledge and encourage the learner to critically think and reflect to make meaning of his or her experiences and challenge underlying assumptions; engage in dialogue to promote awareness of other perspectives; allow learners to individualize and internalize learning, and then move beyond the self by contributing to their profession and their communities.
