Happy First Day of Spring! It is hard to believe that we are heading into the last couple of months of the school year!
Our teachers and students are busy getting ready for Open House next week. Be sure to come by and visit your student’s classroom on Thursday, 3/26 between 5:30 and 7:00. Please remember that it is a minimum day and students are released at 1:31.

Oak Chan's Spring Book Fair is finally here! Come join us "Under the Sea" next week from March 23rd–March 27th between 9 am–3 pm in Room D. A HUGE thank you goes to everyone who has volunteered to assist with set-up and with classroom visits so far!

YEARBOOKDEADLINES
Title Page Contest Entries DUE–March 26th; Yearbook Orders DUE– March 27th
Deadline to submit student artwork for the 2014-2015 yearbook title page contest is Thursday, March 26th. Flyers with contest details should have come home in the Wednesday folder on March 18th. All artwork submissions need to be turned into the office.

2015-2016 PTO BOARD AND COMMITTEE POSITION OPENINGS
Oak Chan PTO is in need of help in the following areas:
FINANCIAL SECRETARY |PTO is looking for someone who has a background in bookkeeping or accounting. Responsibilities would include working with our Treasurer and helping with deposits. Attending ourmonthly PTO meeting is requested, which is the first Wednesday of each month (unless it falls on a holiday).We have these two financial related Board Positions, such as Treasurer and Financial Secretary, to ensure proper checks and balances for financial accuracy andaccountability.
DRAGATHON CHAIR | PTO would appreciate the help of a parent volunteer who is interested in helping with Dragathon next year to shadow this year's Dragthon Chair, Nikki Smaglik. This would be in preparation for the volunteerto step in as Dragathon Chair for 2016.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLASS COORDINATOR | The current volunteer, Nikki Williams, is looking to train someone committed to ensuring that opportunitiessuch as, Play-Well Engineering, Firefly Art and Chess Club will continue to be available after-schoolto our studentsnext year.
