2.  Board member reports

Stacy Davis, Co-President – Report

·  The Dine and Dash events were successful. Ron’s original Bar and Grill was the least profitable. They did not allow take out which affected our profits. We will schedule another chick fila event in the fall. It was the most profitable.

·  The Board purchased stationary to use for thank you notes for any donation given. The perfect way to build relationships.

·  Team Dinners are scheduled to start on august 24th. A schedule of each class’ date and theme will be distributed.

Betsy Hudson, Co-President – Report

·  LVC camp is approaching - July 15th-18th. Cost is $310, however DEFA will supplement the cost, decreasing the price to $275. Only Players who have participated in fundraising will be eligible for a scholarship. The LVC camp truck rental was reserved for a reasonable price. Departure will be early around 5:30 am on the 15th. Chris Hudson is organizing senior dads to help with the picnic on July 18th, however junior parents are also welcome to attend the camp to help during the first 2 days.

·  We are still waiting for the rescheduled date for the Drive to give fundraiser. Hopefully before the first game!

·  Gold cards will be distributed in August. Each player is responsible for selling 20. We still have 2 vendors to obtain. Darren- gold card rep will approach chick fila and a Nail salon in the area.

Russ Glazer, Vice President – report

·  The Program Ads sales are underway. The Program Ad committee should work hard to ensure that the ad space is sold and checks are received. Russ also asked that each committee member follow up this week.

Marty Egan, treasurer – Report

·  DEFA is fiscally sound.

Telisha Feamster, Secretary – report

·  The Community Service event Gator ball Tournament was a huge success. Congratulations to Coach Jeff Hauser’s team - the Gator Ball champions! There were 6 teams that participated mostly alumni and a team of 7th grade marsh creek football players. Since this was the first Gator Ball we worked out the kinks. However we were able to collect 30 backpacks full of toiletry items for children in Chester County Foster Care system. The team will participate in packing the bags the last week of June. Telisha will contact the Director of CCYS Chester county youth services to suggest that we present the donations at the first home game during half time.

·  The Parent Social is August 5th 6:30-9:30p at Pizzeria Uno’s on Rt 100. Cost is $20 per person and includes appetizers and one cocktail. Great chance to meet other football parents.

·  Picture Day is August 18th. The Website will be updated with 2017 team pictures before the first game.
