3 Hazards identification
Odour: Smell of lime
Appearance: Liquid, orange
Potential Acute Health Effects: May cause irritation effects to nose, throat and respiratory tract. Avoid Contact with Skin, eyes and mouth.
Ingestion may cause nausea and vomiting. Harmful if swallowed. Seek Medical Advice. Call medical attendant, doctor, or poison control center immediately. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eyes. Get medical attention immediately. Take off contaminated clothing. Flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately. If breathing is difficult: Remove to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call an ambulance and then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth to mouth, if possible. Get medical attention immediately.
4 First aid measures
Eye Contact : Immediately irrigate with copious quantity of water for at least 15 minutes. Eyelids to be held open. Seek medical advice if effects persist.
Skin Contact : Wash with plenty of soap and water. If swelling, redness, blistering or irritation occurs seek medical advice. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before re- use.
Inhalation : Remove victim from exposure - avoid becoming a casualty. If breathing has stopped apply artificial respiration at once. In the event of cardiac arrest, apply external cardiac massage. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion : Rinse mouth thoroughly with water immediately. Seek immediate medical assistance.
