RULES AND OTHER INFORMATION:
1.Students who were 15 before October 15, 2016 may not compete.
Students who were 13 before October 15, 2016 may compete only in varsity races or in the open race.
2.Peewee races are for students Grade 6 and under who meet the age requirements.
3.Each runner may compete in only one race.
4.A team includes a minimum of five and a maximum of seven runners.
5.Please send entry fee and form to St.TheresaSchool, 190 N. Ohio, Salem, IL62881 on or before September 15, 2017. You may FAX entries to 548-9673.
6.All runners will finish into a chute and will receive a number at the end of it. They must not lose their numbers. They have to be turned in to the scorers with team tally sheet.
7.Coaches will collect numbers and record them alongside each runner=s name on a tally sheet to be provided by us. The tally sheets are then given to the official scorer.
8.Places won by Aindependent@ runners will not be discarded before team scores are computed.
9.Team awards will be presented as soon as possible after the conclusion of the last race.
Individual awards will be given to each runner as he/she walks through the finish chute.
10.No metal spikes, please. No jewelry, either.
11.We will not be responsible for lost clothing or equipment.
OPEN RACE: This race is open to students who are not entered in any of the other races. Boys and girls of all grade levels will run in the same race. No team scores will be kept. Coaches are asked to return tally sheets to the official scorer.

Peewee, open races - approximately 1.2 miles (2 km)
ORDER OF RACES:Peewee girls race at 9:30 a.m., followed in order by
Peewee boys, Varsity girls, Varsity boys and Open races
AWARDS:1st, 2nd, 3rd team trophies for each division (small & large schools)
(Except Open)1st, 2nd, 3rd team ribbons for each division (small & large schools)
1st, - 40th individual trophies for each division
41st - 150th individual ribbons for each division
AWARDS: 1st - 10th individual trophies (boys and girls)
(Open Race)11th - 150th individual ribbons
FEES:1 team: $20.00; 2 teams: $30.00; 3 teams: $40.00;
4 teams: $50.00; individual runner: $5.00 each.
Extra runners in a division for which a school has a full team
entered may run in the open race for an additional $1.00 per extra
runner. The maximum fee for a school regardless of the number of open runners is $75.00.
NOTE: We will be awarding 2 sets of team trophies and team ribbons in each division. After team scores are calculated, we will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd - place teams among small schools and 1st, 2nd and 3rd-place teams among the large schools. If a school=s total enrollment for grades K-8 is 500 or greater, that school is a large school.
