STAFF MANAGEMENT:None but will include some supervision of Support Workers, volunteers/Peer Mentors

2. PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To assist the Recovery Manager and staff team in the efficient and effective running of the Community Rehabilitation Project which provides a therapeutic rehabilitative structure. Allowing service users to stay within the community and reduce the need for Residential Rehabilitation.

To ensure the provision of a range of therapeutic interventions are available to meet service users` needs, using ADS approved programmes, and facilitate behavioural change. This would include one-to-one support, group work programme, counselling, assistance with health, social, psychological, financial, employment and legal issues, all of which will draw upon available treatment options and community resources.

3. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To be involved in the assessment, admission and discharge of service users.
  1. To draw up care plans and structured programmes in conjunction with the Recovery Team Coordinators.
  1. To be involved in a programme of internal and external activities as a part of the therapeutic community. This includes assisting the team in co-facilitating groups and providing emergency 1: 1 support and therapeutic interventions, as well as providing effective keyworker sessions.
  1. To liaise with referral agencies and significant other organisations on the progress of service users, including completing professional progress reports.
  1. To assist the Recovery Manager in ensuring that each service useris familiar with the rules and practice of the project and conditions relating to their health and safety.
  1. To developadditional training and therapeutic programmes to meet the needs of the client group.
  1. Encourage and empower service users to take charge of their own recovery journey and support others in doing the same.
  1. Identify any risk and/or safeguarding factors for service users and staff and, in conjunction with the Recovery Manager /Safeguarding lead, take appropriate and timely action.
  1. In conjunction with other members of the staff team to provide continuing care to ex-service users.
  1. To assist the Recovery Manager in the promotion this service.
  1. To ensure the maintenance and security of accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date service userrecords, both electronic and written, and ensure all necessary information is entered on to the case management system in a timely manner.
  1. To undertake service delivery within the Project in accordance with the Project Action Plans and contractual requirements.
  1. To work as a part of the team in ensuring effective day-to-day management of the projects within the legislation guidelines and rules under which they operate.
  1. Any other additional tasks that are commensurate and within the scope of the post.

  1. The post holder is expected to be flexible with regards to their working hours to meet the demands of the project and will be required to be available out of hours` on-call on a rota basis.
