Kennywood Chairperson

The North Allegheny Unified Boosters Organization is accepting applications for the position of Kennywood Chairperson for the 2015-16 school year. The position will have a salary of one thousand dollars. Applications will be accepted from Friday, December 4 through Tuesday, December 22, 2015.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Serve as coordinator for North Allegheny Kennywood Day
  • Coordinate & monitor all Kennywood assignments (Publicity, Signage, Athletic Posters, Ticket Sales, Purchasing Items, Scheduling Workers)
  • Ensure compliance of Small Games of Chance regulations by actively monitoring workers & visitors
  • Prepare Kennywood status reports throughout the year
  • Expected to attend five UBO General Meetings and one executive board meeting during the school year
  • Assist athletic office in fundraising for basket raffles
  • Assist UBO treasurer to ensure accurate record-keeping of all purchases and sales

Excellent organization and communication skills are required

Strong time management skills required

Kennywood Chairperson

  • Serve as coordinator for North Allegheny Kennywood Day
  • Organize & coordinate the arrival of all prizes & workers to Kennywood
  • Coordinate & monitor all Kennywood assignments (Publicity, Signage, Athletic Posters, Ticket Sales, Purchasing Items, Scheduling Workers)
  • Organize ‘Tiger Mascot’ participation throughout event
  • Create approved Kennywood flyer
  • Upload flyer to website and distribute to members Organize the use & set-up of sports posters from athletic office
  • Advertise & promote Kennywood sales
  • Order complimentary & additional raffle tickets for basket raffle
  • Coordinate the purchase of all basket items
  • Coordinate the wrapping of all baskets
  • Organize raffle prize table at Kennywood
  • Organize numbering of baskets at Kennywood
  • Arrange door prize workers for 6:00 PM drawing
  • Arrange for facilitator of prize drawings
  • Assist in making cards for all the baskets with name of basket and donating group
  • Have duplicate set of cards for the person calling the ticket numbers at Kennywood
  • Take photos of all baskets for thank you notes
  • Create ‘Thank-you notes’ for group donations
  • Organize the safe-storing for additional supplies to be used for the next year’s event
  • Ensure compliance of Small Games of Chance regulations by actively monitoring workers & visitors
  • Prepare Kennywood status reports throughout the year
  • Create Kennywood Assignment Sheet
  • Prepare deposit slips for all donation money
  • Monitor donations from all groups (sports/schools)
  • Record-keep all expenses concerning Kennywood
  • Communicate with President/Chairperson of Kennywood regarding progression repairs
  • Record-keep Kennywood ‘in-school’ and ‘E-Ticket’ sales via logging ticket numbers
  • Expected to attend five UBO General Meetings and one executive board meeting during the school year
  • Assist athletic office in fundraising for basket raffles
  • Assist UBO treasurer to ensure accurate record-keeping of all purchases and sales
