Brahim GHRIBI
Government and Public Affairs Director, Alcatel-Lucent
In his current role, Brahim is in charge of Government and public affairs for the Middle East, Turkey, & Africa region with Alcatel-Lucent. He ensures engagements with policy makers to leverage public broadband opportunities due to digital plans or change in public policies and economical stimulus programs.
Brahim GHRIBI has a broad international experience and has worked in North Africa, Central Africa, Western Europe and North America. He is with Alcatel-Lucent since 1999 where he held various responsibilities including, Marketing and Strategy Director for North Africa, Business Development Director for the North West and Central Africa region. In addition, Brahim was head of WiMAX Integration practice and was involved in some key Broadband wireless projects worldwide. Furthermore, Brahim led the Alcatel-Lucent delegation in 3GPP where he actively contributed to the standardization effort of IMS and UMTS.
Prior to Joining Alcatel-Lucent, Brahim was a Research Associate at the University of Ottawa, where he coordinated research projects on formal validation methods and techniques for Telecommunication protocols, and had also worked for Computing Devices Canada as a senior embedded real-time computer systems engineer.
