To be considered for a UT Austin freshman honors program, you must complete and submit the following items by December01, 2013:

  1. ApplyTexas Application for Freshman Admission and all required materials and test scores.
  2. Online honors program application.
  3. Additional forms or documentsthat may be required as part of the honors program(s) to which you’re applying.

STEP 4: YOU MUST SUBMIT AdDITIONAL Honors Program(S) APPLICATION ITEMS

Based on the honors program(s) you selected in STEP 1, the following items must be received in the Office of Admissions by December 01, 2013.

Any honorsor admissions documents that are uploaded using our Document Upload Systemor mailed to the Office of Admissions must include your full name and UT EID on each page. Application materials sent or delivered directly to the honors program offices may not be added to your application—resulting in an incomplete application.

Natural Sciences Honors

Dean’s Scholars, Health Science Scholars, Polymathic Scholars, Turing Scholars, and Human Ecology Honors: CNS Honors Center

Required Documents:

  • Recommendation: One (1) recommendation must be submitted to the Office of Admissions from a math or science teacher (computer science teacher preferred if applying to Turing Scholars) at your high school who is knowledgeable of your preparedness for the College of Natural Sciences Honors Program. Use the online honors program recommendation system to send a request for a recommendation. A mailed or faxed letter of recommendation does not fulfill this requirement.
  • Résumé: Submit online a professional business résumé to the Office of Admissions using the résumé format specified by the Office of Admissions. If you already submitted an expanded résumé for your application for admission or for another honors program, you do not need to submit another résumé for the honors program application.
