The Annual General Meeting of Mumby Parish Council was held in Beckets on Wednesday 17th May 2017at 7.00pm

Present:CouncillorsMrs J Bradley, Mrs S Harrington, Mr R Gilburd, Mr M Spencer, Mrs J Stapleton and Mrs J Morlini

Also Present: 11 members of the public

  1. ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Having only one nomination it was unanimously agreed that Cllr Jean Bradleybe elected as Chairman and the Declaration of Acceptance was duly signed.

  1. ELECTION OF VICE CHAIRMAN

Having only one nomination it was unanimously agreed that Cllr Roger Gilburd be elected as Vice Chairman and the Declaration of Acceptance was duly signed.

  1. CHAIRMAN’S REMARKS: The Chairman welcomed all those present.
  1. APOLOGIES: None
  1. NOTES OF LAST MEETINGSheld on Wednesday 19th April 2016wereunanimously approved as the minutes and signed by the Chairman.
  1. CLERK’S REPORT ON MATTERS OUTSTANDING
  • A monitoring camera had been installed on the A52 opposite the church
  • Slates Farm – Planning Enforcement did not consider it suitable to take any action.
  • Hill Rise – Rubbish has now been cleared. (It was noted that the first letter of complaint had been send in January 2012).
  1. REPORTS FROM OUTSIDE BODIES - None
  1. FINANCIAL REPORT

a)The clerk confirmed the financial statement at the beginning of the year showed a balance brought forward of £6601 which included £570 for election reserve.

b)The clerk read out the internal auditors report and noted that Risk Assessments and Financial Regulations required reviewing.

c)The accounting statement and notice of elector’s rights had been posted on the notice boards and on the web site.

d)It was unanimously agreed to renew the insurance policy with Came and Company at £168.

e)Payment of accounts was authorised for £168.00 to Came and Company for annual Insurance renewal and £30 to J Cooper for internal audit.

  1. PLANNING

a)As stated in item 6, Hill Rise has now been cleared.

b)As stated in item 6, no planning enforcement was considered suitable for action.

c)Planning permission has been granted for houses at Pine Hill

d)Planning application N/125/00648/17 for vehicle access at Berwyn House, Station Road was unanimously supported.

  1. NEXT MEETING

It was confirmed that the next Parish Council meeting will be held at Beckets on Wednesday 19thJuly at 7.00 p.m.
