Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Beadle County, Huron, South Dakota, will receive sealed bids until 9:00 a.m. on the 15th day of May. 2017 at the office of the County Auditor in the Courthouse for: one 2018 or newer Truck Chassis.

Each bid envelope shall contain ONLY ONE (1) Bid Proposal and shall bemarked with the words "Sealed Bid-Truck Chassis ".

Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bankdraft, in the amount of 5% of the gross amount of the bid, drawn on a State or National Bank and payable to the Beadle County Treasurer, Huron, South Dakota, or in lieu thereof, a bid bond equal to 10% of the gross amount of the bid will be accepted. Such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this state and will be payable to the Beadle County Auditor, as a guarantee of the bidder entering into acontract. Checks or bonds of all the unsuccessful bidders will be returned withinthirty (30) days after the bids have been opened.

Bids submitted by mail, express courier, or common carrier cannot be acceptedunless received by The Beadle County Board of Commissioners prior to specifiedtime listed on “NOTICE TO BIDDERS”. Bids submitted by telefax cannot beaccepted.

Each bid envelope shall contain the entire set of specifications. Incomplete bidswill be rejected.

To the extent provided by statute, preference will be given to materials, products,and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota. (SDCL Chapter5-19; Residential Preference Statute.)

The Beadle County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject allbids. The lowest responsible bid, meeting bid specifications, will be accepted. Incase the low bid is not responsible or the bid is not made in accordance with therequirements of SDCL Chapter 5-19 or the low bid is withdrawn after the bidopening, the bid of the next lowest responsible bidder may be accepted;however, to the extent allowed by law the Board reserves the right to accept thebid that is to the advantage of and is in the best interest of Beadle County and the Board of Commissioners. Beadle County is exempt from all federal Excise Tax and Sales Tax.

Specifications are on file in the Beadle County Auditor’s Office and the Beadle County Highway Department Office and may be obtained at no charge.
