Help PRS clients on the road to recovery by providing

items from our Wish List.

DC Recovery Academy

  • Bookshelf or wall shelves
  • Magazines for craft projects (i.e. Oprah, National Geographic, etc.)
  • Board Games
  • Art supplies – water-based paints, brushes, markers, colored paper, yarn, etc.
  • DVDs (Kid-friendly such as animation films, Pixar, etc.)
  • Projector Screen (wall installed)
  • Healthy, nonperishable foods for snacks and lunches (healthy cereals, canned vegetables or fruits, microwavable oatmeal, baked chips or pretzels, etc.)
  • Fresh produce for lunches (i.e. grapes, apples)
  • Personal care items – full sized or travel sized (hygiene products such as deodorant for men and women, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body spray, etc.)

Tysons Recovery Academy

  • Art supplies – paint for small projects, brushes, markers, colored paper, etc.
  • Kitchen supplies – oven mitts, cookware, cooking utensils
  • Personal care items – full sized or travel sized (hygiene products such as deodorant for men and women, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body spray, etc.)
  • Gently used/re-tooled laptops
  • Sports equipment:two basketballs, two soccer balls, 2 volleyballs, 6 sets of Badminton, ball pump with replacement needles, 2 red kick balls, 2 orange traffic cones, 10 bean bags, Zumba Gold DVD and Tai Chi DVD for beginners.

Mount Vernon Recovery Academy

  • Professional clothing for Thrift Shop
  • Art supplies – water-based paints, brushes, markers, colored paper, yarn, etc.
  • Kitchen supplies – oven mitts, cookware, cooking utensils
  • Personal care items – full sized or travel sized (hygiene products such as deodorant for men and women, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body spray, etc.)
  • Free weights for exercise class
  • Daily and monthly planners
  • School supplies: folders, pens, pencils, spiral notebooks
  • Books and novels for library
  • DVDs (kid-friendly, exercise DVDs, etc.)

Living Facilities (4 townhomes and intensive supported housing)

  • Cleaning supplies – floors, bathrooms, dusting
  • Paper towels, tissues, toilet paper
  • Kitchen supplies – oven mitts, cookware, cooking utensils
  • Personal care items – full sized or travel sized (hygiene products such as deodorant for men and women, lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, body spray, etc.)

Community Support Services

  • Cookbooks - Weight Watchers, diabetic cookbooks
  • Calendars/agendas (daily organizers)
  • Large and small pill planners

Turning Point and LINC (Young adults ages 16-24)

  • Gently used laptops for students to complete homework
  • School supplies (notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, binders, portfolios for resumes)
  • Day planners
  • Professional clothing for jobs

  • Gift cards for grocery stores or pharmacies
