THANK YOU, ROTARY EAST MEMBERS; WE ARE SO GRATEFUL
FROM BURGANDY SCHMIDT: “Thank you very much for the generous scholarship that you have given me. The money that you gave me is greatly appreciated and it will be upt to good use. It will really help me pay for college expenses that I will face. Not only did you help me with college expenses but also my family. This scholarship will help me attend St.NorbertCollege in De Pere, Wisconsin. At St. Norbert I plan on getting a degree in Nursing. St. Norbert is a beautiful campus full of opportunities and this scholarship money will help me experience those opportunities much easier. Once again thank you very much for this generous scholarship.”
FROM MICHELLE SCHAUB: “I graduated on May 24th, 2009, from AquinasHigh School. I was involved in IMPACT, Pro-life Club and Bluegold Ambassador at School. I am also active in my parish, serving and working at VacationBibleSchool. In August, I will be attending my first year at college at ViterboUniversity. I plan to major in Secondary Education and Mathematics. I am so grateful for your scholarship. It will help me a lot.”
FROM JACLYN DANIELS: “I would first like to start by thanking you immensely for the $1,000 scholarship that you and your committee have awarded to me. It will help me greatly in my first year at the UW-La Crosse. I am planning to study Pre-Physician’s Assistant. I have had an interest in the medical field for many years now, and feel that the Physician’s Assistant program will be a great fit for me. I am very looking forward to attending UW-L this fall, not only to begin the next chapter of my life, but also to expand my knowledge and meet new people who share the same interests as I do. Your scholarship makes a significant dent in my tuition bill this year, and I will be forever grateful to you and your committee. It has always been the ultimate (and planned) goal of mine to attend college and I have been significantly preparing myself since the first day of my freshman year at Logan. I have become very frustrated at times, and had to deal with the death of my father and grandfather during my sophomore year. I overcame both of these difficulties and continued to remind myself that the hard work I was putting in then would eventually pay off and get me into the school of my choice, which has been UW-L for quite some time. I was ecstatic when hearing that I had been accepted into both colleges I had applied to (University of Minnesota and UW-L), but knew right away that UW-L is the place for me. I will be graduating with a 3.75 cumulative GPA and am proud of myself for what I have done during high school, and what I will be doing at UW-L. I am a first generation college student and am very much looking forward to making the rest of my family feel as proud as I do. Once again, I’d like to deeply thank you for the scholarship that will make my freshman year of college less financially straining on myself and my family. Thank you greatly.”
