Topics of Discussion

  • Arena Football – voting request sent out to VM to either allow or not allow Steelers children playing on the Stampede arena team to utilize our equipment. Majority Vote = NO
  • Hudl – voting request sent out to VM to allow the Steelers to pay for this program and assign passwords to the head coaches. Majority Vote = YES
  • Restaurant Week – voting request was sent out to VM to either proceed or not proceed with this fundraising opportunity. Majority Vote = YES (however, this will be pushed back to May)
  • Speakers – discussed the opportunity to allow guest speakers to come to our meetings to promote their business/services (as we did with St. Luke’s and Bishop Photo last year). If anybody has any suggestions, please let us know
  • Organization/ coaching evaluations / feedback – Briefly went over the results of the survey that was sent out to the organization. Sarah will be reviewing the results to identify areas of concern/interest so we can discuss and take action.
  • Practice Jerseys – originally started on this topic and then switched to the idea of purchasing an alternative game jersey.
  • Tumbling Class for Cheerleaders – we have enough cheerleaders to participate at Kids CO-OP starting February 2nd.
  • Discussed the possibility of holding coaches meetings
  • League – Bylaw Proposal Votes
  • There were a few verbiage/language changes or additions that were voted on and a few new items that were also voted on at the January league meeting.
  • Off the table: players are only eligible to play for an organization in the school district that they reside in and on sides kick rule and when they can be attempted
  • Age and weight for varsity level is approved and final

Next Regular BSAA Board Meeting – February 19, 2016 at 6pm (Dave’s Church)

League Meeting – no meeting in February
