A report on the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in SLOVENIA 2004-2007, by Jordan Mikulin, co-ordinator in Slovenia.

The report on the work of the Slovenian Renewal in the Holy Spirit for the period of the last three years

- Some charismatic meetings with foreign charismatic Christians, like Alan Ames, Fr. Joseph Bill, Fr. James Manjacal, Pat and Don Turbit, and s. Margharita Valapilla have been organized.

- Some retreats and seminars for pouring of the Holy Spirit have been held by Slovenian priests from the Renewal.

- The Slovenian Renewal Prayer Group and one Croatian Renewal Prayer Group from Zagreb diocese have organized two meetings, one in Novo mesto and the other one in Zagreb.

- Two pilgrimages to the retreat are organized yearly, one to Paray le Monial, the other one to Medjugorje in the period after Easter.

- The Slovenian magazine Renewal comes out monthly.

- Six books translated into Slovenian have been published:

- Alen Ames: Brought to Life (Slovene translation: Življenje iz milosti)

- Brenda Skyrme´s A Christian View of the Martial Arts and Yoga (Sl. Krščanski pogled na jogo in borilne veščine)

- Fr. Joseph Bill´s Jesus liebt dich (Sl. Jezus te ljubi)

- Oreste Pesare´s A sign of hope for all people (Sl. V moči Svetega Duha)

- S. Catalina – Katja Rivas´ The Holy Mass, Testimony of Catalina (Sl. Sveta mašna daritev)

- Peter Herbeck´s When the Spirit Comes in Power (Sl. V moči Svetega Duha)

- A double CD with recorded praising songs, sung on our meetings, have come out.

Regarding the involvement of younger people (up to the age of 35) in the Slovenian Renewal it must be said that most of them take part in groups of praising, yet one is a secretary of the diocesan committee of the Renewal and one mostly works on translating from foreign languages into Slovenian.

The year 2006 brought the changes in the leadership of the Slovenian Renewal: the representatives from the Maribor diocese were replaced by the representatives from the Koper diocese for the four-year period.
