Ever wondered what happened to Zig Zag, Joh Miths bodyguard ?

Well for a few years he worked for Joh as a cook in the largest of Joh’s three way stations, providing “authentic” Troll cuisine to guests. One day Derrik the Dark Troll was passing by and sampled the “authentic” Spit Roast Ham Beetle with Cob Corn. Seeing a business opportunity Derrik sponsored Zig Zag for the first “authentic” Troll Restaurant in Sevenwall. Now Zig Zag runs the first and only Troll restaurant in Sevenwall. Derrik not only shares in the profits by way of free food from time to time, but also gathers intelligence on guests as part of his Sartar wide information network.

The restaurant is set on two levels. Upstairs (above ground) is for human guests. There are around 60 covers, a bar and a stage. Once a night there is a performance from the “Pom Pom Dancing Trollkin Troupe” whose encore act is

These trollkin were a gift from Bolgar Brother of the Bull, who was heartily glad to be rid of them. He originally bought them to annoy Aegis, a Storm Khan. (which they did!)A typical ground floor menu is….

Downstairs is the troll only section. Two burly trolls guard the stairwell. In this basement area the food is mostly cold and very fresh. You make your own entertainment, troll style. Here you can spear your own Ham Beetle, 1 bolg per throw, or choose your cut of whole spit roast trollkin. Yum Yum!!!. All the traditional troll drinks are served here. This is the preferred gathering place for trolls visiting Sevenwall.

Great Leader , I was fortunate to visit this establishment in the company of Denis the Shadowmage. We were greeted at the door by the proprietor Zig Zag who showed us to our table, pausing only to proudly point out the picture of himself with Derrik the Dark Troll at the opening ceremony. I asked him about the sign at the door [By order of the High King—We regret that dwarves and elves cannot be served at this establishment] Did it mean they were not welcome or that they were not on the menu. Zig Zag laughed and just said yes. On Denis’ recommendation I chose the Enlo Sweetmeats followed by the Spit Roast Ham Beetle- truly delicious. There weresome twenty other guests, all humans. We watched the Pom Pom show and then a female trollkin offered to do a “lap dance” for me. Keen to acquire new knowledge I paid my one silver and was treated to this odd dance that was up close and personal. Afterwards she asked me if there was anything else I wanted –Denis said he could sort me a proper troll if I liked, but eager not to disgrace the Empire I declined this lewd offer. I wanted to go downstairs but was told by a rather rude troll that “Humanz not allowed!” So we left. I asked Denis why he had not interceded on my behalf, but he just said I would not like the freshness of the cuisine down below
