Today we did the flag salute and prayer. There were no birthday’s or anniversaries.
We did have 3 visitors – Larry Wefferling, District Treasurer; Bob Button, PDG & Chair of the District Foundation and Diane Button, moral support
John Dinan introduced Larry & Bob who spoke to us about the District Foundation. They spoke about the advantages of using the Foundation and about what is necessary to set up and maintain our own Foundation if we chose to. Bob & Larry answered everyone’s questions concerning cost, legal and record keeping. Several years ago, the District Foundation was set up to help small clubs. We recently used the foundation for the Christmas for Farm Children Fundraiser and are in the process of getting a $1,500 donation from Tito’s Vodka that was only available through a 501 c 3 entity.
John Dinan announced the passing this morning of Jane’s mother, he believes that the funeral will be private and will let
us know if that changes.
Barbara announced that the Library is running a bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show on Weds. Mar 7th. Tickets are $70, please let Barbara know as seating is limited
Please keep soliciting for Beefsteak Gifts. The Gift committee needs them sooner than later. They need time to put things together and to stage them. Even Gift Certificates need to be framed and prepared for display
