Scholarship Awards Night – 5/18/17
1) If you receive a scholarship, please ensure that you follow up with a thank you note to those who award it to you.
Senior Semester Exams – 5/19, 5/22, & 5/23
1) Seniors will begin their semester exam testing this Friday, May 19.
2) Exams will take place during normal class time following the regular bell schedule.
3) We switched which exams would go on which days to accommodate scholars breakfast on 5/19.
4) Senior Exams in class following normal bell schedule
- Friday, 5/19 – Periods 4, 6, 8
- Monday 5/22 – Periods 1, 2, 3
- Tuesday 5/23 – Periods 5, 7
5) Exempt Seniors
- Report to their class
- You submit attendance
- You send exempt seniors to A118 lecture hall
- Exempt Seniors stay in lecture hall rest of period
- No exceptions
6) All senior grades will be posted each day and be final
7) If you miss your exam, you will not have time to make it up before grades are posted, and you may not graduate
8) Missing Exams = Not Graduating
Wednesday, May 24 –
1) 9, 10, & 11 grade students begin semester exams
2) All (including Seniors) will follow posted modified exam schedule
3) ALL seniors required to be in attendance all day
4) Although you will not be testing, you will follow the exam schedule and report to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, period classes.
Scholars Breakfast – 5/19/17
1) Those Seniors eligible will receive a ticket/pass to attend the Scholars Breakfast.
2) You will show the ticket to your 1st period teacher, and be released no earlier and no later than 8:20am. The event starts promptly at 8:30am.
3) There will be a speaker for you at the event. Please be courteous, attentive, and show our guest why you have earned a spot as the best of the best.
Baccalaureate – This Sunday, May 21, You meet at 5:00pm, Starts at 6:00pm
1) We will conduct practice for this directly after this brief meeting, and Mrs. Estlinbaum will inform you of the procedure and the time to meet this Sunday, here at BCHS.
BCHS Academic Awards Night – 5/22/17, 6:00pm
1) BCHS Departments, Clubs and Teachers will recognize student achievement with awards from most improved, most outstanding, etc.
2) Please make plans to attend with friends and family to be recognized for your outstanding efforts this school year.
3) Please remember to conduct yourself appropriately, and represent our school with respect and honor.
Senior Picnic – 5/25/17
1) Meet at 7:45am in the HS Theater.
2) Come to school in dress code, please do not wear hats that you bring in the building
3) Please be safe, be good to each other, and please be helpful to your sponsors when setting up/Cleaning up and tearing down.
4) If you did not meet the qualifications to attend the Picnic, you are expected to be in attendance at school, and follow the days Exam Schedule for periods 4, 6, & 8.
5) Failure to do so could have an adverse effect on your privilege to walk at Graduation
Graduation Practice – Friday, May 26, 7:45am, at Memorial Stadium
1) You MUST be in your seat at Memorial Stadium by 7:45
2) If you are late or are not there: You will NOT walk.
Graduation Ceremony – Friday, May 26
1) Remember you must have all fines and any money owed to any part of the school cleared. In addition, any and all school property, books/equipment/uniforms etc., must be turned in or you will not be allowed to walk.
2) Be in 500 wing no later than 7:00pm
3) Dress code applies. If you do not adhere to the following, you will not be allowed to walk: please don’t put us & your family in that position.

b) Only ear piercings allowed – no gages
c) Natural hair color (something humans are born with)
d) No Tennis Shoes
e) No hat Bling
f) Those not in compliance will not be allowed to walk: Period

- Cap and Gown
- White Button up dress shirt
- Tie
- Black Slacks or Kakis
- Black Dress Shoes or Boots
h) Ladies: Must wear everything listed below: or will not be allowed to walk
- Cap and Gown
- White color that came with cap and gown
- Dresses must be no less than 3 inches from the knee
- If you wear Slacks, MUST be black or kaki
- Be careful about heels that are too high, will get stuck in the field and you will fall!
4) Student Code of Conduct applies
a) Please respect others, and conduct yourself accordingly
b) Remember to represent your family and school well
c) Do not engage in disruptive behavior at graduation – you will be removed
d) This is for you and your family, enjoy the moment, and be respectful.
Make Good Choices: Now through the end of the year –
1) Grades and Attendance: Must Pass and Must meet attendance requirement
2) Take care of each other
a) Help one another make good choices both at and away from school
b) Do not engage in activities that will prevent you from walking (senior pranks…etc.) - (Crime outside of school: State law – DAEP placement)
c) DO not engage in behavior that may result in DAEP here at the end
d) If you are placed in DAEP, you will not walk
e) You must keep good attendance: If you don’t show up every period the last week… you will lose credit and will not walk
3) No exceptions to the above guidelines will be made. We want you safe, and we want you eligible to participate!
