Beta Club Agenda

o Welcome to a new year for Beta Club! This year we will be “Making History with Beta”!
o Summer Hours (15 hours due by August 30, 2013).
o Please complete and information form and return as soon as possible to Ms. Steiner.
o $10 dues are to be turned in by August 30, 2013.
o Next Nursing Home visit (one required per year)
o September 14, 2013 at 10:15-11:30 am.
o Next meeting August 28, 2013 Wednesday morning (7:45) and afternoon (3:30)
o Meetings this year will be the last Wednesday of the month-Morning and Afternoon
o All members must participate in at least 5 Beta Club sponsored projects each year. This year’s projects include: Bake Sales (Every Thursday), Teacher assistant, Canned Food drive (August and May), Travis Manion Foundation (September), Leukemia/Lymphoma Foundation (October), Operation Christmas Child (November), Clothing/Blanket drive (December), A Friend’s House donations (January), Sweetheart Dance (February), Shamrocks (March), Relay for Life (April), Teacher Appreciation (May), Nursing Home visit (one required each year, held monthly)
o Hour update will be sent out after August.
o Remind101. If you are interested in receiving reminders of Beta Club events via text message, please pick up a sheet. Text the message or email the message to the phone number or email address and you will receive messages. You may also become a member on Facebook. See Shea Linde to enroll as a member.
o Convention will be March 7-9, 2014 in Atlanta. Make plans to attend.
o National Convention will be held in Richmond, VA on June 25-28, 2014. We plan on going a few days earlier and staying a few days later to visit Washington, D.C., Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens. Fundraising will take place several times throughout the year, but this will be a great trip! If you are interested, we can only take about 10 people so get your name in early!
